BEAUTIFUL, TRADITIONAL Small , friendly hotel with amazing location

    rating22 Sept 2024

Absolutely charming small beautiful hotel in the best location in Nessebar.Beautiful and large room / bathroom with lovely hot powerful shower. The 3 staff were extremely friendly and helpful even doing us a packed breakfast one day.The breakfasts were a feast, absolutely loved it. Everything so fresh , tasty and well presented. The outside restaurant overlooking the sea and local ruins was the perfect spot for lunch with a homemade lemonade.Perfect holiday from start to finish.

    A hidden Gem

Nessebar old town... We loved it! Cobbled streets, 13th century churches, shops and restaurants Hotel Victoria, the best panoramic sea view on the 'island'. We loved this hotel, you could call it outdated, but i prefer quaint and authentic. Lovely little marbled reception, room was comfortable and clean, fresh, breakfast every morning with a good choice and the staff/people were lovely! So friendly and helpful. Exactly how it was described ❤️.

The hotel may only have 3 stars over the door but to myself it is definitively 5 star.

After coming to the Hotel Victoria for nearly 20 years I would like to share with you my experience. A small hotel with a big heart that draws you in to return year after year not only myself but many other guests. In the hotel Bobby is the manager who is always there to help. The breakfast is excellent with everything you will enjoy. Along with Bobby there is Hache who keeps the rooms and hotel cleanliness' to a high standard and the garden beautiful.Along with the staff in the hotel there are others that make you stay wonderful from Margarita and the Balkans staff to the Meridian Hotel that take care of all the bookings.Returning to the hotel its position is amazing with views over the Black Sea . If you walk up the hill and take the second turn on the right you will find a well stocked supermarket. Continue along the street it will bring you to one of the beaches. If you turn left from the hotel and take any of the streets it brings you into the Centre. I could continue with my feelings for Nessebar the hotel the local people and it's history but that is for you to find for yourselves.Alan Oldham

A nice old-fashioned hotel with good location but very small rooms

    rating09 Aug 2023

My daughter and I stayed here for a week. The hotel is small and friendly, not without old-fashioned charm, I quite liked the ambiance. On the plus side it has a view of the old fortress overlooking the sea, and there are plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. (But see note below). Also a small supermarket one street away and an ice cream kiosk next door. The shower was piping hot, the air con worked, staff were friendly and helpful with info. Clean fairly comfortable beds.Negative points:My daughter is quite good with tech gadgets but neither of us could figure out the Bulgarian flat screen TV. All we could manage was a blue screen showing the names of the channels and a channel menu. It wasn't a major issue as I only wanted an English news channel. The coffee machine broke down twice, and orange juice ran out on day 5. Cooked breakfast options were limited - precooked boiled eggs or scrambled egg twice, smallish bits of precooked bacon three times - but this was often either very fatty or very gristly. The continental Bulgarian style cold options were quite nice - cereals, local yogurt, packaged choc croissants and some small cakes and biscuits featured. Along with delicious salty feta and small mixed olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumber, plus cold meats and salami, pates, breads, and various fresh fruits. I saw a few teas, plus two kinds of jam portions and honey. Our twin room (with a sea view - just!) was very small - one chair squeezed into a corner. Maybe just enough room to swing a mouse. The toilet was a small wet room so we needed to use the toilet before the floor beside the pedestal got soaked... And there was no plug for the sink.Overall it was ok, and we did enjoy staying in a traditional hotel rather than a modern high rise soulless block. The location was very good, five minutes walk to the centre of the old town, only ten minutes walk to the bus and taxi stop at the small harbours.NOTE: the restaurant "Seasons" bistro on the terrace directly opposite the hotel is not part of the Victoria. I went in once for a drink but was ignored so I left. When I checked reviews the bistro scored very low - poor service and poor value for money. T

    Avoid restaurant

    rating07 Jul 2023

Absolutely do not recommend eating at Bistro seasons which is the restaurant for this hotel. Cold food. 2 meals arrived together then we had to wait for the other 2 meals for quite some time that the first 2 had nearly finished theirs! Chips were cold, there was no one to speak to, no one asked if the food was ok. Rude staff man and woman and wouldn’t allow us to pay by card for a very overpriced meal yet we were never told we had to pay by cash on entering or when we asked for the bill
