  Had a nice stay at this hotel for three nights in September. On the outskirts of Sofia, so you need about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the city center.Did not have a chance to try the spa or fitness center but had a tasty lunch nah of creamed broccoli and wedges plus a sopsky salad. Unfortunate that the restaurant did not offer draft beer or any local Bulgarian brands. Staff was very nice and helpful with ordering taxis.A very large hotel, with conference room and meeting hall which we used.

  Don’t even think about it!

  This is not a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 4 star dump. Dirty rooms and bathrooms, lots of noise from inside and outside, shaking noisy elevators and so on. Final touch - no hotvwater during our stay.

  Good views, great breakfast

  The room was clean and spacious enough, with a stocked fridge. The view of the wide road makes the room better suited for winter trips (when you can leave the windows closed) rather than summer. You need to book in advance if you want to use the Spa. The restaurant on the top floor offers a great view and balanced Bulgarian dishes. The one thing that I would rate five stars is the breakfast buffet, where the food is varied and delicious.

  Avoid the treatment in the spa!!! It just can’t get worse

  I stayed for one night and decided to treat myself to a Warm Oil Aroma Massage and facial in the hotel’s spa assuming that the treatments in 4 star hotel should be reasonably good. The experience is now officially categorised as the worst spa treatment I have ever had. There was no “warm” or “aroma” element involved. My body was covered into greasy substance, presumably classified as “oil” but I’m not quite sure what that was. The lady was wearing the MEDICAL GLOVES when smothering oil into my body, the act which was apparently classified as the “massage”. Goes without saying that I cancelled facial. The spa room had towels of questionable quality and piles of assortment of medical covers and towels on the massage bed.

  After researching the area and hotels for a short stay with friends, who live only about 5 mins we booked, and this was our first mistake. We arrived on a holiday which meant there was no staff available, finally, we checked in and told us our room and how to get there. Enquired about food in Sky Bar and as its no holiday its closed. No problem can go elsewhere. ( This holiday was not known by our Bulgarian Friends, so most just apply to hotels).Arrived at the room and omg It was awful like something from the 1970s. Tried to be positive and left with friends to go for dinner. Whilst we were out we remembered that we had left our travel plug so Friends called the hotel to see if one was available bearing in mind this is a 4-star business hotel. Guess what they are locked away without access until the Manager returns at the end of January!!!! As we were staying 4 nights, we spoke to the manager ( Who must have cut his holiday to see us) and advised him of our concerns mainly - Dirty room, dirty sheets, no safe and no tea making facilities as we should have. He just walked off and said the room is best in the Hotel due to a balcony. (The balcony in question was tiny could only stand on it and no chairs or light to use it. We just felt let down and as friends booked decided to just sleep there as there is no customer service at all.As previously stated we stayed for four nights and would not recommend at all. During our stay, the problems we encountered included:- 1) Wrong room being given2) Lack of Customer Service3) Dirty Sheets ( 2 people sleeping in a single bed as so dirty)4) Cleaner coming into the room but towels not changed - no clean towels in four day stay and no signs that the room was cleaned. ( Stain on the floor is still there four days later)5) Having to take vaulabriets with us as not safe. Now, where do I start with Breakfast? The restaurant looks nice enough but once again Customer service is non-existent. The waiter just takes your room number without even looking up from his phone and then it's up to you to work things out. Hot Food that is freezing, Apple Juice which is hot, and a cold selection that has seen better days. During my time I did say to the waiter that there was hair in the hot food, mouldy lemons on show, and bananas that also looked off despite these issues were never addressed, and after 30 mins problem was still there. Also no toast available. Would, I recommend it only if you want to stay in dirty surroundings, love freezing breakfast and eat food that's like it comes straight out of the freezer. What a pleasant adventure for business travelers who are looking for a four-star hotel, not one that is lacking in even the basic things. However, there was some saving grace the internet is good and the waiter in Skybar was trying to make good of a bad situation by providing glasses that should have already been in the roomFor the money staying elsewhere there is so much better for the cost IN THIS wonderful city.
