  Fantastic rooms. 10/10. Great location, close to everything. Lovely/helpful staff, especially the night porters. Didn't try the restaurant. Bar is very expensive. Mini bar in the room is ridiculous.   I booked a room for my daughter and her mother (went for a night due to a concert in town). Grand Hotel offered excellent condition, and front lobby personnel was very kind and supportive 🤗 Thanks a lot, Grand Hotel.   Very large room luxurious feeling in the room. View overlooking the park was very nice. Gym amenities were okay. Bathroom was spacious and had a bath. Close to the centre of town - great location.   Apparently it’s a nightclub?

  The function rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor can be occupied until gone 3am. Reception are less than helpful, always say they’ll sort it but never do. Fridays and Saturday nights should be avoided at all costs as far as I’m concerned. If you get put on the 3rd or 4th floor make sure you’ve packed ear plugs as you aren’t getting any sleep before the workmen start across the road. We made four calls to reception between 12am and 2am, reluctantly moving rooms as they refused to turn the music down to any reasonable level. Maybe be got unlucky, but you should not take the chance. 5* hotels do not have nightclubs anywhere near paying guest rooms. Unfortunately, during the period of Christmas parties, there are rare occasions when event organizers do not fully comply with these regulations, despite our monitoring and intervention efforts. This, however, should never compromise the comfort and rest of our in-house guests, and I sincerely regret that this was the case for you.Your comments regarding our response at reception are taken very seriously and will be addressed internally, as our team should always act promptly and effectively in such situations. What you describe does not reflect the level of service we aim to provide in a five-star hotel.Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention.
