This hotel is situated in the heart of Sofia, just 500 m from the National Palace of Culture and the city’s biggest shopping street: Vitosha Boulevard. The hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the central train station.

    Honestly this place not hotel just shelter if u stuck outside or any emergency situation just protect you from outside everything super old rooms are filthy dirt hygiene is below zero smell like ashtray bathroom u can't get fresh because u getting dirty when u washing yourself after check in i found another hotel and moved out from here!

    The room smelled, the carpet on the floor was dirty, none of the electronics in the room (TV, Telephone, refrigerator, and air conditioner) were working, and one of the four sockets was working. Parking is paid and costs 20 BGN, Breakfast is very poor and 15 BGN.The only good thing about the hotel is its location.

    Nice breakfast, terrible bathroom. The best of the hotel is a continental breakfast with a great selection to start your day. The rooms are spartan with a horrible shower system and smelling mold all the time. In adition of that, experienced no water at all for a while, no hot water, and had to call fixing the remote control. Tip: ask for an extra towel to dry the bathroom floor after showering, and keep the bathroom exhaust turned on all the time helping with the room smells.

    Old Hotel not friendly

    Old hotel, attention at the front desk it really needs improvements, unfortunatly we had a bad experience from the start on the reception, I'm not sure if it is because they don't speak a good English or if they are like that, not friendly who makes us feel not welcome. The room has no mini bar, very small bathroom, old TV and they dod not have double bad as requested. It has a nice view from the window but I don't think I will stay he again

    I'll start with the positive points first:- I'll start with the positive points first- The minibar and the drinks at the bar are cheapNow the negative points they are effecting mostly the rooms:- The carpet is dirty and the rooms stink. Most probably they never changed the carpet since the hotel was build- The air conditioning was installed later. The hose to dispose the water from the air conditioner goes through a hose into the bathroom and ends above the bathroom floor. this means that the bathroom is always flooded when the air conditioning is on. this is definitely not acceptable.- The room cannot be darkened because the fabric of the curtains is very very thin and translucent. As soon as the sun rises it is not possible to sleep. In my case it was around 05:30AM when the sun came up. This point bothered me the most because I didn't get enough sleep on my business trip.I have visited the hotel Hemus regularly since 2017 when I have not been able to get a room elsewhere. in 2019 they had done major renovations, but I still don't understand what exactly was improved. the points just mentioned above have not been resolved. only the tv was exchanged for a flat screen and the bracket for the old tube tv was removed. Maybe this was the reason of renovation. I hope that someone from the hotel will read this as a general overhaul is urgently needed. Especially with the carpet and the curtains. There's no point in choosing a hotel to relax after a long meeting day and can't even sleep because of the windows that can't be darkened or the smell of the carpet that has never been replaced.
