Nice hotel and area, let down by cold unappetising protein (salads good)

We went off season so it was quiet. No promised entertainment. Rooms cleaned regularly, reasonable all inclusive drinks. Pool bar not open. Food edible but always lukewarm and fairly bland. Pork, chicken and fish every meal with good choice of salads. Great area as huge sandy beach but suspect it gets rammed later in the season. Regular bus service to Varna. Most desk staff friendly and helpful.

The food was terrible..either pork, chicken or fish every meal, no variation, the whole restaurant smelt of fish... The staff were very rude. It might be reasonably priced but, you get what you pay for, never again.

Worst AI hotel I've ever been to .Definitely a 1 ☆Although the hotel for the best part is clean and tidy and the pool area pleasant the rest is just 😖 awful. The food option was very very poor , although there was a good selection of meat and cheeses these were brought out at every meal so were completely dry .The hot food option (and I use that term very loosely as it was barely lukewarm!)was terrible everything was grey and oily and because of this we went into Golden Sands every night for dinner. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful although the young man behind the bar on Thursday night was lovely. The drinks were all served in thin plastic cups which split really easily and the cocktails were awful .I would definitely return to Golden Sands as it's lovely but I would avoid this hotel like the PLAGUE !!!

Clean and good value but don't expect an international menu.

We stayed here for 1 week in September 2025 and overall the experience was good.Facilities: Excellent. The rooms have a/c at no extra cost and rooms are large with the usual TV that we never turned on. There are hair dryers in the bathrooms and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. There's also a small fridge in the rooms. There are 2 bars; one by the pool and another in the lobby, both serving good quality local drinks as well as premium brands. The prices for premium drinks are significantly lower than the strip. The pool area is an absolute sun trap. Even when windy there's barely a breeze and most of the many sunbeds are in the sun all day. There's also a shaded seating area.Food and drink: GoodI can't fault the all inclusive drinks selection. Cocktails, beer and spirits are better than many places we've stayed and spirits are served in generous measures. What let's the hotel down slightly is the food. It's not that there's a lack of choice or that it's local cuisine, the issue is that the hot food simply isn't hot. However, this seems to be a cultural thing. Most of the guests were Bulgarian and Romanian and whilst we made use of the microwave to get our food piping hot, we didn't see a single other guest do the same.Overall: GoodThe hotel is very clean and most of the staff seem happy enough, especially the guy behind the pool bar.Overall a good holiday and excellent value for money.

Pleasant relaxing clean value for money hotel

We have now been to this hotel 4 times. Twice a year our ladies group meet there foŕ a get together 35 this time. We have always found the rooms very very clean. 7 days a week the cleaner came in , replacing used towels , making beds etc. The beds are comfortable which is a big plus. There is a small fridge in each room. The staff have always gone out of their way to be polite and helpful, Manager Martin always a pleasure to deal with. On my first visit with my husband we arrived from the UK at 3.30 in the morning and were surprised to be given a trolley load of food kept chilled and wrapped up, a very thoughtful gesture. As for entertainment going in early May means the season hasn't officially started. We make our own entertainment and this year we're pleased to have had some Romanian guests wanting to join in our quiz and our Kareoke. I can't say if there is any live entertainment put on when the main season starts as not been at that time of year. Food is plentiful and a good variety, something for everyone ..there is a microwave available if anyone wants to heat up their dinner as I heard a few people complaining the food was cold. Suggestion that they leave the lids on the trays.Pool area is very nice always spotless. Poolside bar open all day. All in all a very relaxing hotelWe will all be back September.
