Location

This hotel is situated in a peaceful location surrounded by a pleasant greenery-filled complex. The fine sand beach is approximately 500 m away and can easily be reached via a flight of steps and pathways or with the hotel minibus. It is just 500 m to the town centre and links to the public transport network are located directly in front of the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 200 rooms located in a 7-storey main building and an auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. 5 lifts and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a minibar are also available. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Plenty of active recreation awaits guests in the pool area's 2 outdoorpools. No matter the weather, swimming is always a possible in the indoor pool. There is also a special swimming area just for kids. Thrills on the waterslide, refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a soothing soak in the hot tub – the pool area has a little something for every state of mind and body. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball, volleyball, basketball, golf and archery. The resort offers numerous indoor sports, including table tennis, badminton, billiards, darts, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym. A range of wellness facilities, such as a spa and a hammam, are offered at the resort. For a fee, guests can also take advantage of a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a kids' disco, live music and a dance club.

Meals

The resort includes a bar. Great food and friendly service await guests in 3 air-conditioned restaurants. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for lunch and dinner). Diet meals, gluten-free meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    had a week all inclusive at this hotel in july this year food was poor not enough choice staff disinterested the first night went to the restaurant waited to be seated no take a table and help yourself 4 star never. they never cleaned or mopped the bathrooms or balcony no coffee or tea making facilities in room another point down the fitness room was crap. so after two days we ate on the down very cheap apart from mcdonalds £20 for two very small double chees burgers one coke one bottle of water avoid it.would i stay at the helios spa again not even if they paid me as for the free beer and wine absolute rubbish .now i know it's a poor country but cuba is poorer and they leave the helios spa miles behind in cleansiness hospitality and food .AVOID THE HELIOS SPA GOLDEN SANDS.

    1st day in very poor I’m not a fussy eater but the food was poor . room door was damaged called reception they sent maintenance up to sort it out fair play within in 5 minuets he came then disappeared 10 minuets later we contacted reception again to see what was happening and the said it was fixed but I could still get in to my room without a swipe card .parents room toilet blocked . rooms not very clean don’t think they have a hoover or window cleaner . 1star hotel at best never mind only 12 nights left .we was told when we booked we could use any of the restaurants between the Helios and the Hilton yes you can but you have to pay on top .

    Ignore the bad reviews - this hotel has new management in place

    Having just spent a week at this hotel I was very apprehensive about how we would enjoy our stay having read some very bad reviews. So armed with no expectations I thought a week in the sun in a dodgy hotel would be what we would get. WRONG. We arrived and the reception desk welcome was superb and we were told we had been upgraded to a family apartment. The apartment was great, my partner and two children had more than enough space and a great sea view with a balcony. The decor was nice, beds very comfortable with two bathrooms. Lots of wardrobe space with hangers with fantastic aircon. The room was very clean and had a fridge with complimentary bottled water which was replaced everyday. The cleaning staff were also very good and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The hotel is really lovely and had a nice atmosphere. The bars all served great drinks especially the balcony bar with outside seating. Really enjoyed the staff who were all very friendly and great with the kids. We opted for all inclusive and this is where the new management really excelled. They wanted feedback on the food, staff and overall score for their food. They have made changes over the week we were there and I can see why bad reviews may have been left. The management really cared about the changes they were making and both the General Catering Manager, General Manager (I think Marianne) and the Chef walked about the restaurant checking with customers on how meals were. They also told us about the huge changes needed in order to become on a par with the Hilton Hotel next door (run by the same company) but I have to say the amount of effort and pure customer care was second to none. Speaking with other holiday makers who had been there slightly longer even they said the changes implemented had made a huge huge difference. My daughter slipped on some water and the management even though she was fine delivered a gorgeous fruit platter and champagne to our room. Seriously well done to the management and staff. We shall certainly be booking for next year without a doubt! Dont read all the bad reviews and take them as standard. A great place if you are looking for 3 or 4 star. If you pay for 3-4 star and expect 5 star..your in trouble! Overall great staff, clean rooms and a friendly team. Close to the beach, town and a brilliant pool for the kids with entertainment from the Animation team 3 times a day to keep the kids in check and allow some nice sunny rests!

    Wow, worst hotel ever!!!

    Don't go. Is the worst hotel in Bulgaria! I travel a lot and that kind of conditiones i did not find anywhere. Food is poor, towells dirty, no wi-fi, no parking and so on... Is a 1 star hotel at the most. If you want a 4 stars hotel, I recommend Riu Helios in Sunny Beach.

    The location of the hotel was quit good as it was close to the beach. The swimming pools had a really fun slide and there was a bar right next to the pools. The room had a beautiful view of the entire pool. The food was similar every day but it was really nice.
