  This was the only hotel in 3 weeks in Cambodia that needed to scan my passport in order to check-in. My room smelled of cigarettes, and there were full ashtrays in the lobby's. They gave me an air freshener can, which was empty. There are steps up to the elevator and the lights go out in the corridors on senses, so watch your step. Lots of Indians here who smoke everywhere. The manager said they can't stop it. There are lots of other places to stay instead of here.

  Out dated, run down, cockroach infested flee pit located in the centre of the red light district used for prostitution.

  This is a cockroach infested hotel in the red light district used by the older men to entertain their prostitutes.The New Season Riverside Hotel is described as a modern property within walking distance of key attractions. Personally I would describe it as a out dated, run down, cockroach infested flee pit located in the centre of the red light district which caters for elderly white men and their prostitutes (there is a notice in each room stating prostitutes are welcome as long as they sign in at reception and are not under age)! We were met by the owner who could not be bothered to welcome us or look up from his computer other than to demand our passport’s. The room was dirty with long black hairs everywhere, including on the sheets. We paid extra for a window. We got a window with glass but when we opened the dirty stained curtains we found the ‘window’ was bricked up on the outside. There was also no fridge or garden as described in the description on Booking.com. Throughout the night we had to listen to the other occupants entertaining their guests and rats running in the void between the ceiling and the floor above. As soon as we turned the lights out at night to get a good nights sleep we found our room (105 located directly above the hotel kitchen) was infested with cockroaches which crawled across the bed as we lay there. We photographed and caught several under glasses. There was no one on duty at night to complain to so we spent the whole night awake sat up in bed with the lights on keeping cockroaches off us. The following morning, when I complained about the window, no fridge, no garden and the cockroaches the manager just laughed. Later that morning I spoke directly to the owner who also laughed. When I insisted that it was not a laughing mater he started to shout at me and became threatening and aggressive. He made some excuse about the fault being with Booking.com who had overbooked his hotel. We saw few other guests so did not believe the hotel was fully booked and did not see what this had to do with the cockroach infection. We had booked for 3 nights, when we said we wanted to leave early, the owner refused to refund the remaining 2 nights. I attempted to cancel the remaining 2 nights on Booking.com but the cancelation policy meant that we would not receive a refund. In addition to the above, the stairs are used as storage areas for cleaning equipment and rubbish. The only way to access the upper floors is by a small lift. This makes the hotel a 5 storey fire trap. There is a 6 inch gap between the bed and wall so during the night the pillows fall on the floor leaving you without a pillow to sleep on but a ladder for the cockroaches to get at you. I’m in my late 50s and have travelled extensively across Asia This is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.Unless you are an elderly man down on his luck, looking to entertain your prostitute on the cheap and don’t mind cockroaches for company I would avoid this ‘hotel’.

  Room was ok for the price. Location was great. Would have been a rating of 4 but the service is terrible, the guy on reception was miserable and made us feel very unwelcome... He just grunted at us. We definitely won't be returning simply because of the unwelcoming staff

  The owner of this resturant doesnot know how to take with Customers.He is not owner but he is an agent for supplying girls. Hotel is so pathetic i don't recommend ever in my life. If Possible I would have given zero rates. Rajendra Ghimire, Owner at New Season Riverside Hotel, responded to this review Many peoples has been lost their life, family properties, home, business job and other many thing on period of covid-19.According to situation we have posted safety notice on indoor, out door and in lift, also alcohol and temperature detect device has standby on entrance, but you guys not follow the safety rule as carelessly not wear mask, not use alcohol (sanitizer) while in out every time with talk on phone in restaurant at ground floor, when suggest him to use sanitizer to safety he angered and talked with us without wear mask at counter and blame back. Yes we think life of everybody then business. Also we not get anything free from supplier that provides you twice free raita ($2) on every meal

You have to walk through an Indian restaurant to rich the elevator for the hotel There are no city views apart from some tin rooms from the buildings nextBook another hotel newseasonhotel, Front Office Manager at New Season Riverside Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest, you are great man. you have book cheap rooms as without window and with window at behind side and wish to have city view and more cheap room then this?? if you wish to have city view and river view why not book king room with balcony and river view ? where we have mentioned on description about our room. i had gave you river view with balcony room instead of your non window room then why you not mentioned about this and not upload photo of river view from balcony? However, Good luck for you!
