    Lack of Compassion and Flexibility

    I stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Barrie, Ontario on December 2nd. On the morning of December 3rd, at approximately 6:30 a.m., my Land Cruiser was broken into and an attempted theft occurred. The rear window was smashed and the dashboard damaged. As a result, my vehicle had to be towed to the local dealership for repairs.Being from New Brunswick, I had nowhere else to go, so I stayed an additional night at the same rate of $109 plus taxes. The following day, with a late checkout of noon, my vehicle was still not ready. I was then charged $178.47 plus an additional $44.50 for staying past the checkout time.Only two hours later, my vehicle was ready, at which point I packed up and checked out. Despite the circumstances and the fact that I was essentially stranded due to a crime that occurred on your property, no consideration or reduction was offered. I was simply told “too bad.”This was extremely disappointing and reflects very poorly on your customer service. Charging a guest full price under these circumstances—especially when they have no choice but to remain in your city—shows a lack of compassion and flexibility.     Does the job but not memorable

    This hotel needs a makeover desperately. From the potholed entrance to the tires furniture and windows, daily cleaning is not enough. It seems heavily used by sports teams which explains it in part. The staff do their best. Bed is comfortable and the room at night was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast so so. Overpriced for what you get

    My wife and l travelled from Wawa for medical appointments at Sunnybrook in Toronto. We stayed there on our way down and back from Wawa with our border collie. The room were clean and extremely quiet. The staff was friendly and helped any time assistance was required. The hotel is 2 minutes off of highway 400, and 1 hour to Sunnybrook. And very reasonably priced. I will definitely stay here again. James Laing, Wawa, Ontario.

    We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over Christmas while visiting family in the area. I’ll start by saying the staff there was very good; professional, courteous and helpful. The room was ok, very spacious and the beds were comfortable but the rest of the room was very weathered, it appeared as though caulking was holding things together. The complimentary breakfast we had the first morning and didn’t return for the other 2, we ate at the Tim Horton’s next door. The food wasn’t very good, drink dispenser was not working and there was no where to sit. All in all it was cheap and did the trick, you get what you pay for.

    The room’s not bad, it’s small, but it’s good enough for one person. - In the shower, there was no conditioner.- you have to play around with the heat till you get it where you want it- The TV sucks too. I had to search for the guide and they need to fix it up to show what's on TV- and as far as the breakfast goes, I would give it a four out of 10- I thought it was a place where you could drive up to your door and park in front of it. Nope you gotta go inside.
