    Best western is always,most of the time,a nice hotel to stay at..this one at Belleville is OK.. nothing earthshatering but a few + are: breakfast : waffle maker 😋..hot buffet..close to a few stores and restaurants: Swiss chalet..quiet ..     Well kept hotel, with polite, professional staff, tasty and varied breakfast options.Comfortable rooms, modern and clean. Been there 4 times and and will return. Good value for price pair.     Made a reservation on the hotel's website 4-5 weeks in advance. Booked this particular hotel because it was pet friendly, had a pool, hot tub, and 2 Queen beds (2 Queen beds cost a little more than 2 Double beds but I was willing to pay the difference). One week before check-in got a voicemail saying pool and hot tub would be closed during stay. At 8:06 am on day of check-in got a call saying 2 Queen beds was not possible because we were travelling with a dog. I had noted on my original booking we were travelling with a dog PLUS I called the hotel immediately after booking to see if they received the note on my on-line booking about travelling with a dog. Was never told my reservation for 2 Queen beds with a dog could not be fulfilled. When Ashley (front desk clerk) called at 8:06 am on day of check-in I tried to inquire why I wasn't previously told my booking couldn't be fulfilled, but Ashley interrupted me and was very rude. She said the note must have been missed but regardless, I could not have 2 Queen beds. Ashley never once apologized for the hotel's oversight. However, she did tell me that she didn't care if I stayed in the hotel or not as the money did not go into her bank account (her words). When I asked for the manager's name she informed me the manager would not be back for 2 days. When I asked for the District Manger's name/number she said with a smirk "we don't have a district manager, we are privately owned!" This is the first time in my life I have ever made a complaint about a hotel worker. Corporate office quickly responded to my complaint and the hotel manager, upon check-out and upon knowing about my complaint to corporate about Ashley's rudeness to me, did apologize to me and did compliment the room after viewing the tapes from the front desk. The hotel manager did listen to my concerns, was courteous, and kind. It is because of the manager that I will consider staying at another Best Western but I will not stay at this particular hotel because of Ashley's rudeness.I would have never booked this hotel originally if it was listed as no pool, no hot tub, and only provided 2 Double beds.

    We stayed at the Best Western - Bellville for one night (Saturday) to attend a wedding nearby. The hotel is close to restaurants and many shopping options. The hotel lobby wasn’t huge however it did have a nice breakfast area/sitting area adjacent to the reception desk. Our room was on the second floor. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door as the room was extremely clean and seemed to have gone through a recent update. No carpets on the floor, nice sun/privacy roll-down shades coved the windows and a clean nicely appointed bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the pillows had both soft and firm options. We had a peaceful sleep once returning from the wedding. No doors banging and no loud guests.Breakfast was typical for a hotel but certainly welcome after enjoying a wedding the night before. Eggs, sausages, home fries and baked beans were the hot choices on the menu. Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when passing through Bellville again.
