Location

The site of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games can be found within just kilometres of this hotel. It takes only a few minutes to stroll from the hotel to the city centre, the University of Calgary or the train station. The Greyhound bus station is around a 5-minute drive away.

Facility

80 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service and a laundry service. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Guests may securely store their valuables in a safe. A kitchenette with a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products.

Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include a gym and a sauna or, for a fee, golf.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant (with high chairs) and a breakfast room. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Location warning: this hotel claims to be in the University District. IT IS NOT. It’s not even university-adjacent. It’s at least a 30-minute walk to campus. I didn’t especially care about the exterior renovations. The inside needs some TLC - tattered carpet in the hallways, bubbling paint in the bathroom, and only one working electrical outlet that wasn’t already in use. There’s a phone charging pad on the tiny nightstand, and it worked… sometimes. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast options reasonable, although a little less wasteful packaging would be nice. Weirdest tv remote ever.

    Instead of being comfy of our first time stay on our one night stay, that didn't happen. We couldn't sleep at all, The walls and curtains are seems dusty and you could literally smell the dust. The AC was old and button weren't even working. The bedsheets were Hella itchy , and by morning we had rashes all over our hands, the pillows were not so comfortable.Overall, our stay was terrible at all, not even close. I don't think we will book again in this hotel.

    Location was ok. Hard to get into due to construction. We never got to actually stay due payment issues. However, the front desk attendant was not friendly or helpful. Didn’t even try to accommodate our situation. We are not party people or anything. We usually leave the room better than we got it. I will not come back to this establishment l.

    Stayed here for a hospital stay for a family member. Location to Foothills is very good (10 mins max with traffic). Breakfast was really good, probably about the best Hotel Coffee Ive ever had. Hotel is under a major exterior renovation but it didn't impact our stay at all. Room was relatively comfortable, everything was clean. The one major problem I had was the Internet is basically non existent, with even "decent" internet I would rate a 5* but in this day and age its just not acceptable to have internet that doesn't work or ping at old dial up speeds.

    A nice inexpensive place to stay for two nights on our trek west. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Will stay again.
