Nicely renovated IHG Hotel

Nice newly renovated hotel. Smallish I think only 8 rooms per floor. Only one elevator. Breakfast same every day.. but ok. Parking a bit of a hassle.. and I watched people that weren't even staying at the hotel park in the spots and go to their jobs. My room had a balcony (although didn't use was too cold) but could be good in nicer weather.Great location. Coop grocery store walking distance. close to downtown

This hotel is in a very convenient location if you want lower cost hotel downtown. It is just a block away from the C-Train and has many restaurants within a short walk. Says to get to Stampede Grounds via c-train. Rooms are clean and pretty modern. Property is older and shows some age, but by no means in disrepair. There is free parking which is almost unheard of in downtown Calgary. Public spaces are small and only one slow elevator. Otherwise a very positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend.

The hotel was mediocre. The breakfast was very nice and so was the jetted tub in our suite. We were not pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower had pink mildew in areas and black mold on the ceiling and in the grout. Even after complaining about this to reception, we were told “sorry” and that’s it. The cleaning staff is not great either. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and they didn’t clean the tub once. Overall, if you are not planning on showering, it’s good. Great experience in this HI express property.

We had a great one night stay in this hotel while passing through Clagary. They upgraded us to a suite which was great - super spacious with separate living room and big bathroom + a balcony! Hotel is not exactly in downtown but a 5 blocks walk away from all the restos and bars/pubs. Super convenient. Also very easy to get there from the highway. All in all it was a perfect stay aside of breakfast, which is mediocre at most in all HI express property so I wont knock off a star for that. Would definitely recommend this property.

OMG OMG . You think you are important with DIAMOND or PLATINUM ELITE IHG . NOOOO WAYYYY this hotel dosent care! thay just wait to overcharge you. In Calgary you need to drive maybe 10-20 min to another hotel better than this one . The risk that they will overcharge your credit card is too high. very dangerous. If you like to fight over the phone, it is a good hotel for you. Terrible business. AVOID if you dont like to loose your time.
