  I have been a valued Marriott hotel client. I always choose Marriott because their rooms are clean and spacious, and their beds are very comfortable.   WARNING: Valet Parking is Unsafe & Outdoors (Use Self-Park Instead)

  If you are staying here with a vehicle, DO NOT USE VALET.I stayed here recently and was given the option of Valet ($30) or Self-Park ($30). I chose Valet, assuming a premium service implied secure parking. I was not informed that Valet vehicles are parked in an unmonitored, street-level public lot, whereas the Self-Park option is in the hotel’s secure underground parkade.My 2024 vehicle was vandalized (smashed window - over $1000 damage) while in the care of the Valet. When I reported this, the hotel management (Front Office Manager) refused to cover the damage or even my insurance deductible. They hid behind the fine print on the claim ticket - which is given to you after you hand over your keys - stating they aren't liable for vandalism.This is a deceptive practice. They advertise the "convenience" but place your property in a high-risk environment without disclosing it, while safer, cheaper parking exists right downstairs.The Bottom Line: Great rooms, but the management’s handling of security is negligent, and although they provided to 'escalate' the issue to senior management, it has been over a month with no further communication. If you stay here, park your own car underground. Do not trust them with your keys.   The Best Residence Inn I have stayed at....

  Decided to stay in Canada for my birthday trip. Never been to Alberta or Calgary before. Could not believe how nice this hotel was. Stayed on the top floor and it was ultra quiet. Also as a Gold Elite member I have seen my fair share of breakfast areas. This, hands downs, is the best "free breakfast" we have ever seen. Just the space alone is crazy...let alone the really nice staff who clear your plates. The food selection is way above the standard fare at other Marriott properties. Seriously, this should be the template for all breakfast areas. Also, without me knowing....staff put a slice of birthday cake in our room fridge for me when we arrived. Nice touch!   Horrible communication

  They wrote a code on the back of the hotel card however they did not tell us that we needed to go through a third party to pay parking via a machine. We got $110 ticket. I assume if hotel gives you a code they charge your room directly. Obviously we would have paid had we known! But this was not the case. I called and the completely dismissed me and said there was nothing they can do. Beware. The code on the back of the hotel card would be to get into the parking garage after hours but you would need to register your vehicle through Indigo on their app or machine. We would have needed to take your license plate number in order to register your vehicle for parking through the hotel. I do hope you will consider us again should your travels bring you back to the area in the future.

  Came with a tour group. The bar staff were friendly and we enjoyed a buffet dinner and breakfast.
