Location

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 6-storey building with a lift and 200 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     The breakfast service was excellent, and the room offered great value for the money. The food was delicious, and the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly. The bartender was also nice, and room service was attentive, regularly checking to see if I needed anything. I liked the hotel because it was clean, and I enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains. Overall, I give a thumbs up to the Royal Calgary Hotel!

    Car Break-In on Hotel Property

    Suite 145Checked-in: April 2, 2026Checked-out: April 3, 2026Very disappointing experience. Our car was parked within the hotel property, not far from the front entrance, and our catalytic converter was stolen. When we informed the front desk, the receptionist told us the cameras “might not have captured that area” and even said we should have parked in the front. That was not possible because there were no available spots left at the front, which is why we parked on the side.This incident caused a major delay to our trip because we had to file a police report and now we cant use our car because of the damage. What made it worse was that the staff was not cooperative when we asked for basic information needed for the report. They refused to provide the manager’s name, which is unacceptable. I’ve worked in customer service and at a hotel front desk before, and providing a manager’s name or business card is a normal request in situations like this.Overall, the lack of security and poor customer service made this stay extremely stressful. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you’re traveling with a vehicle.
