  Comfort Inn Cambridge: Horrible…need to replace beds and pay more attention to details!

  Very disappointed with this property comparing it to the back to back stay at the Comfort Inn Belleville, which was a 5 out of 5! We checked in on schedule and told that our reservation was for the upper level. We inquired if we could upgrade to the lower level and was informed that the lower level was sold out! The next morning at 09:00 we noticed that the parked cars for the lower level was sparse while the second level parking was full! Very suspicious! At check in we noticed that the coffee station was not well stocked and the next morning…the same coffee station, located in the breakfast area, was again not stalked from the previous afternoon excepting for the creamers. We did not have breakfast but took a stroll to inspect the items. The two tiered fruit stand was empty but we knew they had fruit because a guest was peeling an orange at a table. All other items were sparse! The hot items were plentiful with the attendant preparing fresh scrambled eggs. The most disappointing aspect of this property is the possible deceit with declining an upgrade, the lack of attention to details and the squeaky, springy and unsupportive beds! Had a sleepless night and woke up with a slight back pain. We had family staying in a room across the hallway and they also had the same complaints about the condition of the beds. Augghh!

  A friend who was staying there was having an issue that was brought up to the staff, but was it was not handled appropriately. The issue wasn't entirely her fault, regardless the customer service was not handled appropriately. It was rather disappointing.

  Great service! Efficient & professional desk staff. Well appointed room. Quiet, despite proximity to highway. Very nice budget hotel. Parking is convenient and you can see your car from the room. No elevator so accessibility may be an issue.

  PET FRIENDLY (for a small fee PER DOG), capable/competent frontline staff & management, clean throughout, good beds, decent breakfast selection, super-easy parking & access to/from ground floor rooms with patio doors, 3 minutes to Hwy 401, numerous near-by restaurants - both north & south of Hwy 401 (lots along Hespeler Rd)

  If you care about safety, don't stay here! Room door left open

  Don't ever stay here. Place was a dump and staff were incompetent to say the least. Side door was left open to public every time I walked by (security concern); house keeping woke up us at 9:57 am, told us water would be turned off at 10 am until 2 pm; told house keeping we didn't need service that day and left, only to return late at night with our room door open! Someone entered our room, and left the dead bolt out, keeping the door open- and it wasn't even cleaned so ZERO reason for anyone to have been in there. Staff at desk even said that was a common thing for house keeping to leave room open for management to 'check', but then later blamed it on us when we demanded a refund. It was late at night, we were travelling and didn't have a vehicle so were stuck there for the night. Felt very unsafe and didn't know who was in our room, what was potentially left etc. Management refused to refund us and won't even take my calls. Front staff didn't even have uniforms or name tags and wouldn't even identify themselves or give cards/names for management. If you care about safety, don't stay here.
