Location

This hotel enjoys a convenient location 100 m from the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse and with easy access to St. Jacobs Farmer's Market (500 m), a host of area universities and other historic Mennonite attractions. Facility

15 junior suites, 13 suites, 36 single rooms and 51 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     My husband and I traveled to Ontario the first part of February and stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Waterloo St. James. So glad we stayed here. Our room was clean and had everything we needed from a coffee/tea machine to a shower with great water pressure. I have to say that EVERYONE that works here is so nice and accommodating. I’d like to especially thank Steve Millington, Dhanuph, Carter, Aryn, and Depesh. We like to stay at hotels that have a bar/restaurant on site, and this one did not disappoint. Great food and drinks. The front desk staff were also amazing. We will definitely be back.

    Good Stay at the Courtyard Waterloo St. Jacobs

    We recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott near the St. Jacobs Market. It was very convenient since it was pretty much right across the road. The staff are all very welcoming and the people manning the Bistro in the morning were a delight. It's very rare these days that you see staff interacting with each other and customers in such a happy manner. It was nice to see.Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, The fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were in good condition. The shower was a good size, nice and clean, with good toiletry products. The room was very quiet as well although we were close to the elevators. The Stockyards Brewery is also just across the street for lunches or dinners as well as a Jack's Restaurant so that's convenient. It's best to check on the hours for the St. Jacob's Market if you're planning to visit since a lot of areas close early.

    Clean, comfortable hotel central to Waterloo

    We recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in St. Jacobs. While the room was generally clean and adequate, our experience was affected by a few issues. We weren’t informed that our room was adjoining, which impacted our privacy, and we were placed just two doors down from the ice machine, which added to the noise.The biggest concern was the lack of soundproofing. We could clearly hear our neighbors’ TV and conversations, and during the night, one guest became ill—so loudly it felt like it was happening in our own room. These disruptions made it difficult to get a good night’s rest.Overall, the stay was passable, but the noise and lack of communication about room features were disappointing.---

    A Hilton Loyalist No More – This Courtyard Has Won Me Over!

    I typically stick with Hilton or Hampton properties, but my recent stay at this Courtyard completely changed that. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was top-notch. Every single staff member—from the front desk to housekeeping to the bistro team—was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful.They made me feel more like a guest of honor than just a guest. It’s rare to find that level of care and consistency across the board. I’m genuinely excited to return—and that’s not something I say often. Hats off to the entire team. Well done!

    Came for a bonspiel and it was great!

    Came here for a curling bonspiel in Listowel. I had a great stay here. The beds are comfy, the staff are nice. The bar in the lobby is great. There isn’t a lot of choice at breakfast, but the food is great. I 100% recommend this hotel. Have a great day!
