  BED BUGS and broken heater in two rooms

  BED BUG EGGS well how much more do I need to say Extremely ghetto crowd as welll . Not trying to judge but it just was … a man was beating his wife in the hallway at 12am in the night … heater didn’t work all day which was okI guess because it’s early may but at night it was 2 degrees and the heater wasn’t working .. I was frozen. So back to the bed bug eggs it’s 2am at this point I can’t really sleep All of a sudden I feel like a pebble or something under the blanket ..Lift the sheets to find rice and woman’s hair a lot of it different shade then mine (complained about it) she said there was no rooms available to change so I calmed down and went back to trying to sleep .. and then again …I feel another pebble, I look it was another piece of rice .. so I was like what the hell is this … look it up and yup it’s bed bug eggs! So I saw two of them called front desk complaining and miraculously she had another room to move me in .. at this point .. I don’t want to stay here anymore I’m grossed out I get to lobby and the lady is LAUGHING IN MY FACE. I’m crying at this point because I’m tired and just want to go home but I live a 2 hour car ride away … and had some drinks soDriving was not an option … SO they gave me the other room on the floor this time .. I get to the room it smells musty (which is also a sign of bedbugs) but anyway .. at least I can get a warmer room … well nope the heater doesn’t work in this room earlier .. what a disaster show for real

  Price is good, but needs some upgrades

  The price per night is good. The room we had was clean and in a quiet area near the stairs. Rooms are a good size and have a fridge. Staff is friendly and when going to breakfast I noticed a spill of something on the stairs, I alerted the staff in the lobby, and by the time I had collected my breakfast items to return to my room the spill had been cleaned up. We went in Feb, after a snow fall. The parking lot was cleared but not very well and the walkways to the outside doors (not the main door) were still snow covered, it needed the pathway shovelled. Had to lift out luggage over the snow to go inside. There were giant icicles hanging from the building. (See pic) Yes there was 1 warning sign on the entrance door to the lobby, but no mention of it on any other outside doors or from the staff at check in. This is a huge safety concern.There were some obvious things that needed fixing. There were no finishing touches on the end tiles that surrounded the shower. (Ie a corner piece or something to finish the look) The towels were stiff and scratchy. The breakfast needs an over haul. The eggs and sausages were fine, I tried to make a waffle but it didn't work something was wrong with the batter, and the hot water for tea is scalding hot (has been for years). I needed to stack 3 cups just to be able to hold the cup to take it to my room as there were no sleeves available. There really needs to be some more variety. Maybe some fruit cups and better muffin and yogurt variety. We have stayed here several years in a row, overall it’s a good location and the price is good. Would be much better with the above mentioned fixes.

  Room was what youwould expect, clean and comfortable,staff were interested to assist, breakfast included . Very reasonable for the price

  A Pleasant Comfortable Stay

  My wife and I booked the Quality Inn for one night. We were in town to see a show and didn't want to drive home late at night. We had a room with a king size bed. It was very comfortable and had more than enough pillows for additional support. The concierge and staff were friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was great. There were so many different options to choose from for a satisfying meal. I would definitely recommend the Quality Inn for your next stay in Kitchener.
