  When booked this hotel did not realize it was out of town. Overall, the room was spacious, clean and tidy.With it being our birthday, they provided on the house bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Check in was easy, we were able to check in a few hours early. Shuttle was nice in and out of town but there should be more shuttle options in the morning. Or at least a shuttle every hour to accommodate guests. Pool area was not what it showed on the photos, in door hot tub was not in working order which was a bit upsetting as nothing was posted online. Some of the hotel looked like it was under construction in some of the common areas room, made the hotel look a bit dumpy.We asked for some bottles of water, as there vending machines had none available. Front desk staff did not get back to us about bottles of water.No ice machines in the hotel, which is another down fall. Overall, the stay was nice and prices a bit cheaper than staying right in the town of Banff. Would definitely go back to this location again.

  Location is great and easy to find Outside busy Banff. One bedroom small as described . Dated decor . Cleanliness poor!! First night on arrival and had to request clean pots and pans . Ones in cupboard were not clean, Dutch oven looked like it had simmered bones for broth . No cookie sheet to roast vegs . No bowls , Ice cube trays with dehydrated cubes in freezer. One crushed dishwasher tab under sink . No extra garbage bags .water jug left in fridge with a little water . Assume from previous people .Bedroom carpet dirty . White comforter in bed had dry blood stain !! Come on !!! . Fabric sofa unclean arms . Covers with extra sheet when sat iOn . Front desk did replace pots and provide extra supplies. Would not stay again

  Although the rooms were a little dated they were clean! The staff were 100% friendly and helpful. The shuttle to town every couple of hours was definitely a real treat, it really isn't very far out of town . I had just got done saying I wanted to see some wildlife and there in the hotel area about 50 elk decide to roam through. It is a good value for what you pay. Kudos to the staff and relaxing atmosphere.

  We love the location of BRMR. It’s quiet and easy to travel to hikes & ski hills. Not in town, so we aren’t disturbed by the noise in the town.

  This is now my second time staying at RMR, as the first time my partner and I had stayed here, we had really enjoyed our stay in the junior suite back in 2023. This time I had selected the 2 BR, 2 floor condo with a fireplace. Upon arrival, it was a smooth and easy check in, the suite I had selected was clean, but obviously had some wear and tear too. I had forgotten to take pictures during my two day stay for my reviews, but the pictures online are what to see and expect when you arrive.The appliances are kind of new, but the stove was outdated. When the over was on, you could feel the heat escaping through the stove top. Some of the pots and pans were outdated, and not that clean. You can tell that other guests and the housekeeping did not bother cleaning them. The firepit was great, but the resort gouges their guests for 10.00+ gst, with no complimentary firewood like some other resorts give you.The apartment was clean, and relatively comfortable. The couches and chair by the firepit need to be replaced, as they weren't very comfortable and outdated. The dining room table and chairs were newer, and nice to sit at for meal. There are 2 full bathrooms, with 1 shower and 1 bathtub, which was nice. There is ample room in the apartment for 4 people, and perhaps another guest. I am 6'5, and never had an issue.The Hot Tub/Pool are always nice to use, and have been clean the times I have used them. The outdoor tub is nice to use when the sky is full of stars. The outside BBQ facility outback of the main building has 3 BBQs, but all of them were filthy and clearly the hotel and the guests didn't bother cleaning them. After requesting a new propane tank, and clean utensils, I was able to do some cooking.To get into town, they have a complimentary shuttle services that runs about every 2 hours or so, which is very nice if you have been driving all day or wanted to have some alcoholic beverages. The shuttle will drop you off and pick you up right near downtown at the Ptarmagin Inn. I briefly had viewed the interior bar restaurant in the main building, which seemed nice.Overall, it was a good stay, but definitely was not incredible. For the price you pay and where you're located, it definitely is worth it. If RMR took the time to actually replace the pots and pans, cleaned the BBQ, and fix the wear and tear, this would definitely be a much better place to stay than what it currently is. We still enjoyed our time and recommend this resort if you want to be located outside of the town, but still enjoy the views and appreciate the wildlife.
