Location

This establishment is set on 3.5 hectares of beautiful sculpted woodland on Tunnel Mountain Road, away from the busy Banff Avenue but within easy reach of the centre and all other tourist attractions. Five minutes' drive from the hotel guests will find bars, shops, restaurants and nightspots, whereas links to the public transport network are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The ski area is a 15-minute drive away. It is 30 minutes' drive to Canmore.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 108 non-smoking rooms located in two 2-storey buildings with lifts. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a babysitting service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine. 4 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with individually adjustable heating. Some rooms include a balcony. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the resort offers cycling/mountain biking. With skiing, tobogganing fun and snowboarding opportunities, the complex offers the perfect base from which to enjoy winter sports or just a relaxing winter holiday. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. A spa, a sauna and hydrotherapy treatments are available in the wellness area.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. A cosy atmosphere and delicious food await guests in 2 non-smoking restaurants (high chairs are available). Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and picnics are available. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    A Cozy and Memorable First Stay in Banff

    This was our first time staying in Banff, and Buffalo Mountain Lodge made it such a memorable experience. I stayed with my 6 year old daughter, and she absolutely loved the hot tub. It was a highlight for her after a day of exploring. The views were incredible, and we really appreciated the more remote, tucked away location. It felt peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. While it is not within walking distance to town, that added to the charm for us.We loved the cozy cabin feel of the room, especially the heated bathroom floors and the ability to have a real fire. It made the space feel so warm and inviting. Although we did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant, it looked very lovely. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing stay in Banff.     Hidden gem that is supringsingly reasonable priced

    It was the perfect spot for an overnight stay before heading to an afternoon flight at YYC after spending 5 days at Fairmont Banff Springs/Lake Louise. Was pleasantly surprised by the l'occitane toiletries in the bathroom, and Keruig coffee maker with k-cups. We enjoyed an early morning coffee in front of the fireplace (they provide firewood, kindling and a wax dipped firestarter in the room). We made an early morning driver about 20 mins after sunrise to Surprise corner viewpoint (3~4Km about 10min drive) ahead of the crowds and Instagram'rs. You can hike down to the Bow river and Bow Falls. Great viewpoint of the historic and iconic 1888 Fairmont Banff Springs hotel and the Sulfur Mountains.
