Facility

120 rooms, including 10 suites, 18 single rooms and 89 double rooms, are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. Guests of the hotel can enjoy various recreational facilities, including the garden, during their stay. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.     Excellent rooms, free breakfast, free s’mores at 4 pm. Fireplaces in some rooms, hot tubs and sauna. Best part? The staff were just awesome!

    Stayed at the Canalta lodge for 3 nights 4-7th May and can not fault this hotel at all. The room was clean,spacious, comfortable bed and great amenities. The breakfast was lovely and had everything you could want to start your day. For me, the staff made this place, they were so friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much to ask. Added bonus was the laundry facilities which for $7 for a wash and dry was a touch. The hot tubs and sauna were getting a make over whilst we stayed but there was still one tub to use which is needed after a day of sightseeing and being on your feet. The bar/lounge/foyer was lovely and comfortable with two log fires burning, blankets to use should you need it and the added touch of complimentary smores between 4-7 which co-insided with Happy hour at the bar, win win. Overall, this hotel was amazing and I definitely would recommend it.

    We were 2 adults & 2 older kids, room was cosy but fine. Clean. Tidy. Nice gym. Water available on demand. Free brekkie which was good! Great bus service. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Free parking in street out the back. Great hot tubs - morning to ourselves! Highly recommend. At the end of town but easy walk to everything.

    Great hotel for a family ski trip in March booked through SkiBig3. Being the first stop on the ski shuttle route is a huge advantage — you’re on quickly without waiting through multiple pickups down Banff Ave.Breakfast was complimentary and very good (the kids loved the pancake machine), and the hotel had thoughtful touches like board games and a fun s’mores happy hour. The hot and cold plunge pools were also perfect after a long ski day.Location is great — about a 10–12 minute walk to restaurants and shops downtown — and the front desk staff were very helpful.Only small notes: the hot tub jets were a bit weak, and the loft room lighting upstairs was dim (though extra lamps were provided). Overall, a great, family-friendly base for skiing Banff.
