Location

The hotel is only an around 10-minute walk from the centre of Banff and public transport. It is situated on a main road. Various bars, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs are just 50 metres away. A bus station as well as a train station are only around 1 km away and the nearest ski area is around 5 km away. Cross-country ski areas are located in the surrounding area. Canmore is located roughly 20 km from the hotel. The cable car and Banff Hot Springs are only a 15-minute drive and the Canadian Icefields are around 95 minutes away by car.

Facility

19 junior suites, 19 suites, 2 single rooms and 19 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, an alarm call service and a laundry service. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. A business centre with fax machine and photocopier is available.

Rooms

Rooms include air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, microwave and tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The holiday village has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Going for a swim at the pool complex, which includes indoor and outdoor areas, is a great way to relax. Sun loungers are ready and waiting on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. The complex offers outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball, golf and horse riding. With windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, water aerobics and aquafit available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. With skiing and snowboarding opportunities, the complex offers the perfect base from which to enjoy winter sports or just a relaxing winter holiday. Ski passes are available locally. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, bowling, squash and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the holiday village, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Bed and breakfast can be booked. A continental breakfast guarantees a great start to the day.

Absolutely fantastic ! My family stayed 4 nights and a huge thank you to Oscar and the front desk team on helping make our stay even more special. The location of the hotel is great, just a short 10 min walk to the busy part of town. We found the value was amazing. Our room had two separate bedrooms with bathroom & kitchen in the middle. Most affordable accommodation on the strip. Absolutely fantastic for families and/or small groups. The hot tub was enjoyed after a long ski day. Yes, things are a little dated, but extremely clean and welcoming. Plus, you can't put a price tag on great staff. The Charltons Banff have it right ! The loft bedroom is stunning, with the fireplace to cozy up to made our adventure all that much more enjoyable and added a warm close to our stay. Definitely a Great Option in Town

Nice place with a great location on the strip! It was so easy to walk anywhere in town at this hotel! The rooms have like a rustic cabin feel which we like for the Banff area! They do come clean your room everyday which is nice for bathroom refills but I was not used to that as most hotels typically only clean upon request (we were there for only two nights), so I was a little thrown off guard. Overall, great experience! Nice, a little dated but well located.

Good location on the Main Street about 700m to the busy area. Our Suit consisted of 2 rooms with double beds connected by a kitchenette. The furniture and carpets are well worn and dated but functional. The room was well presented and clean. One room had an air conditioned the other did not which could be a problem on a hot night. Overall it was a nice stay. Parking was great at $15 per night it saved a lot of hassle. Sales Manager, Sales at Charltons Banff, responded to this review Great to hear you had a pleasant stay! I stayed at this Hotel for 5 days and I had the best time ever in Banff. It’s about 10 minutes to Banff downtown.I had two tours and both picked me up from other hotels near by. It’s a quiet area. And not as busy as in the downtown. I had a nice surprise. The hotel upgraded my room to a kind bed.Nice view as well to mountains from the hotel. I was very fortunate to do my check in with Jason. He was very helpful and kind. He recommended me places near by to visit and other lakes that I didn’t have in my tours. And very friendly and attentive front desk person.
