    A Great Little Hotel

    rating22 May 2026

Stayed here for two nights sightseeing. Staff very friendly and room large clean tidy, well maintained and everything worked. Pool and hot tub great. The hot tub was hot but no bubbles and to be fair needs regrouting but while we were there there was a maintenance team working around the hotel. Restaurant and bar limited but tasty menu bar doesn’t open until 5pm. Staff great applause to Taylor our server. This is not the Fairmont but we find it ideal for our purposes. I would stay there again most definitely.

    Unfortunately not a great experience!

    rating19 May 2026

We arrived here after a long 5+ hour drive and were quite happy with the initial look of the place. The check in process was smooth and the staff helpful and polite. It’s only a short (approx 10 min) walk from downtown so location is very good.We got to our room to find 2 QS beds rather than the (preferred) king we’d asked for. No problem, we thought, they must be at capacity so we’ll just live with it. They were very comfy though!Unfortunately, that’s about where the good ends. The room was very ‘tired’. It was quite well appointed but it just needs a bit of a refresh. But that’s just cosmetic. What is more of a problem is the housekeeping, or lack thereof. The housekeeping staff desperately need a tutorial on actual housekeeping. After returning from our sightseeing on day 1, to say our beds had been made would be stretching it. They’d simply flipped the covers back over. The following day, was equally as bad. There was no effort to even wipe down the bathroom vanity with hair being left in the sink. Now we’re not precious, and nor are we pigs, but when paying for accommodation there’s a level of expectation for some form of cleanliness. And we wouldn’t have thought it’s not too much to expect the bed to be made.In addition, we had to request clean glasses. We washed them ourselves the first morning thinking it was an oversight but sadly it was the same the next morning. Again, just a simple thing but should be done without having to ask.On top of all that, night 2, our toilet blocks and overflows. We threw a towel down in an attempt to stop the water. We called the front desk who sent maintenance to fix it. It was fixed quickly however, as they are about to walk out the door, my husband says “so, what about the floor?” and the response was, just use the towels to mop it up!!!Like WHAATT??? Use the clean towels, the only clean towels to mop up a toilet overflow?!?!?Firstly, it’s not our job to clean it and secondly, what did he expect we’d then use after our showers? Notwithstanding the fact that the toilet had overflowed on the floor so who knew what germs were lurking on the floor. When my husband questioned it again, he said, “I’ll arrange for some more towels to be brought up”!Yes, but what about the filthy, germy floor?!? By this time, we’d had enough so let him go and called the front desk again. Explained the deal and asked if someone could please come and mop the floor. We were assured this would happen. A few minutes later, a knock at the door and the fellow has extra towels and a spray bottle. He proceeds to spray the floor and tells us, it should be OK now!!It’s so not OK, but clearly we are getting nowhere and not likely to. Our only option was to spread towels over the entire bathroom floor in the hope of a) not catching anything and b) that it’ll get a proper mop the following day - unlikely!!By night 3, and again no fresh glasses, I went to the front desk to ask for some only to have the opportunity to speak to the Manager (Pam). She was so lovely, so very apologetic and, honestly I think a little disappointed that this had occurred. She offered a free breakfast, or discount, but that’s not what it’s about, it’s about simple basic housekeeping and hygiene. Nothing too much to ask, especially when you’re paying for it!To add salt into the already stinging wounds, the toilet again blocks (thankfully didn’t overflow this time!) on the morning we’re preparing to checkout. Husband again calls the front desk, they send maintenance. It’s a familiar dance by now. Maintenance arrive, quickly fix the issue. Husband thanks them, mentions that it only happened the day before last to which the response was “yeah, it happens every couple of days.” Errggghhh!!Would we stay here again? Hard no! Which is a shame but this experience has just left a very bad taste.

    Decent Hotel

    rating14 Nov 2025

Rooms are dated and furniture was uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable though. All literature says Free Continental Breakfast, not true, you need to book the Free Continental Breakfast Package, so you pay for it when you book that more expensive package. Ok for a quick stay.

    rating28 Sept 2025

The room was well stocked but looking tired. There was no body wash when we checked in and also we had to get the shower fixed as it was faulty. The check in staff were very helpful. The hotel seems to be for primarily coach trips and it felt like this was their main business. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced but of poor quality. Go elsewhere to eat! Jasper has some lovely walks and the town is quirky. We had a great meal at one of the local breweries. Lovedeep Singh, Guest Services / Front Office at Chateau Jasper, responded to this review Dear Groovyson,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear our front desk team was helpful and that you enjoyed exploring Jasper and its local charm. We do apologize for the issues you encountered with the shower and the missing body wash — that’s certainly not the experience we aim to provide. Your comments about the room condition and breakfast quality are also noted, and we’ll be reviewing these areas with our team to see where improvements can be made.We truly appreciate your insights, as they help us continue to improve. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels and would consider giving us another try in the future.Sincerely,Lovedeep SinghFront Office Manager

    Very comfortable hotel

    rating25 Sept 2025

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. Check-in was fast and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable with microwave, kettle and coffee maker. Also an iron, ironing board and safe.I had a problem with the hairdryer one morning . I called reception and in less than 10 minutes a new one was delivered to the room by a very helpful maintenance staff member. Great service. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was very good indeed and the service was excellent. Very friendly staff. We were unable to have breakfast as the dining room was already full however the staff member pointed us in the direction of nearby coffee shops.Location is also great. Just a short walk to shops and restaurants.Great hotel. We would definitely stay again.
