Disappointing accomodation very overated for money spent

    rating27 May 2026

Disappointing and overated ,Stayed 3 nights which was enough , room 827 level 8 month of May 2026 The rooms are very small, 3m x 7m including bathroom, little to no storage for clothes, minimal floor space to open baggage, asked why reason constraints of original building layout. There is no 24 hour help desk as advertised . Luckily we had a lakeview room which only applies to odd number rooms , otherwise there would be no value in the stay at all. For $2,000 per night you could do a lot better somewhere else. Just a note lake louise itself is a beautiful place to visit

Setting and hotel great, food a huge disappointment

    rating27 May 2026

This is a lovely hotel in the most incredible location, the scenery is breathtaking. The walk around the lake is about 6km and we had wonderful weather which made it spectacular. Whilst old fashioned, the hotel is quite charming. The bedroom was fine and good storage. However - the food quality was not that of a 5* hotel. We ate on the first night in the Alpine Bar. Chicken tenders and curly fries were over cooked, hard and tasteless. We ate the next night in the Lakeside Restaurant, on the patio with the most stunning vista. 4 of us had dinner, 2 strip loin steaks and 2 Elk steaks. The strip loin was inedible and the elk steaks were not great. The side veg was waffle fries which again were inedible, overdone, cold and tasteless. Table service was woeful, the correct cutlery was not provided, and had to be requested on a couple of occasions. Have you ever tried to eat a crispy pastry dessert with a tiny teaspoon? No one came to replenish the wine, the table wasn’t cleared until we asked, indeed the desserts arrived and main course plates were still on the table. We approached the restaurant manager who recognised and apologised for their failings, and he resolved it to our satisfaction.Breakfast - was just okay, coffee was cold but can’t really say anything more than this .

    What a view.

    rating27 May 2026

The hotel is magnificently located, offering stunning views that are absolutely breathtaking. The room was spacious, clean, and overlooked the lake, which was truly spectacular. The meals were also very enjoyable, with both breakfasts being of a high standard. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a place I would happily stay at again.

Fabulous experience at the Fairmont Lake Louise

    rating26 May 2026

We have just had the most amazing three days at the Fairmont at Lake Louise. The welcome was amazing and the efficiency of all the staff were incredible .Our room on the gold floor was overlooking the lake and the view was stunning .We had everything we needed in our room …..tea coffee robes slippers .We were surprised with a bottle of wine and chocolates delivered to our room as we are celebrating our wedding anniversary….a really nice touch .Being on the Gold floor we had access to the lounge for breakfast, canapés tea and coffee. There is an honour bar there also. We dined in Louisa and the Walliser Stube restaurants.both very good.Of particular mention ….Rolland in the Gold Lounge,Evan in Walliser Stube …..both so helpful and courteous.,We would definitely recommend

Basin Glacier Waters - Stunning Views and fantastic experience!

    rating25 May 2026

Basin Glacier Waters experience is incredibly relaxing and the views are unbelievable. There are so many unique saunas and steam rooms to try, each offering something different. Even if you are not usually a spa person, this experience feels truly unique and well worth trying at least once. Don't look at the price and just book it. Once you experience it what it offers there wont be any regrets!
