    Mabel is the best!

    Our second time staying at this best western and we couldn’t be happier. The hotel is extremely clean, all the people working are so friendly - especially Mabel. She goes above and beyond for us everytime we come and shes a big part of the reason we came back for a second time. We’ll be back again next long weekend!!

    We stayed here for our sons hockey playoffs. Our visit wasn't a good experience. We were parked in their parking lot and the bob cat was clearing the snow he was pushing snow beside our truck, my husband was sitting in the truck he felt the truck move but didn't think anything of it just thought it was snow. Wasn't until I came out and looked and there were scratches above the wheel well of my truck. We had to get to my son's hockey game so when we got back he was still clearing snow so my husband went over to him and said you scratched my truck. So he gets out to come look at it and takes the palm of his hand and rubs all the dirt in scratching it more and says that will buff out. It's down to the metal and now with more scratches all around it from him rubbing it hard with his hand. He says sorry thats it. So we go talk to the manager of the hotel Joan and she says she will get security to check the cameras. Then shes says sorry where we are parked they cant see anything on the camera it doesnt go that far she tells us. How convenient right. sorry but there's nothing we can do you can file a police report if you like. The guys saying he didn't hit the truck when my husband was sitting in the truck. She kept saying why didnt your husband tell him right away why did you wait. I told her we had to get to my son's hockey game and when we got back he went and spoke to him. Just trying to put the blame on us. She did absolutely nothing for us but say sorry! So I'm expected to pay for the damages their bobcat driver caused to my truck.     My husband is older and when we get a hotel room we don't want to move again so always look for a room with a lounge and a cafe. This hotel was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. The food was really good. Our compliments to the chef. We would stay there again.     Great experience! The staff is so friendly and kind. Room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast at the attached Sawmill restaurant was a bonus. Indoor pool and slide was nice as we were there to see the grandkid. It was a pleasure to stay in your hotel while in cold lake for a family visit!     We came for the Air Show but it didn’t go well for the weather related situation, however we had a perfect stay at BWI over the weekend, especially the friendly front desk staff make us feel very happy.
