This policy is clearly stated on our website, through Best Western, and across all booking platforms, and we are unable to make exceptions.Upon arrival with a pet, our team explained the policy and made a genuine effort to assist by identifying a nearby pet friendly hotel that could accommodate you. That option was declined.This situation is not reflective of the experience most guests have with our team. As many of our reviews highlight, we are known for professional, courteous service and a welcoming environment, and we work hard to maintain that standard for every guest.We encourage all travelers to review property policies prior to arrival to ensure the hotel is the right fit for their stay.

  Excellent value close to downtown Edmonton.

  Great room and restaurant. Bar had a great selection of craft beers and all the food was prepared fresh. Didn't use the pool but everything was very clean and well supplied. Even the little store in the lobby has everything you might have forgotten.   Where's the Breakfast?

  This Best Western Plus does not have the customary hot breakfast buffet which is the reason we had booked a Best Western for our stay. We lost a half hour of sleep each day because we had early morning meetings and still needed breakfast. Cooked to order takes more time than buffet. The other issue we had was if we wanted to have our room tidied up, we had to leave a hanger on the door, but they did not have the do not disturb/clean room sign in our room Michael S, at Best Western Plus City Centre Inn, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you sharing your experience.For clarity to future guests, our property offers a full service restaurant rather than a complimentary buffet, which is common for Best Western Plus hotels with on site dining. Instead of a standard buffet, we provide a freshly prepared, made to order breakfast at a discounted rate for our guests. This allows for significantly higher quality and variety, and it is something many of our guests specifically highlight as a standout part of their stay.In terms of timing, our breakfast service is designed to be efficient, with most meals prepared and served within approximately 5 to 10 minutes. For guests with early schedules, this typically allows for a quick and reliable option while still enjoying a hot, plated breakfast.Regarding housekeeping, we use a door hanger system to respect guest privacy and ensure service is only provided when requested. If a hanger was not present in your room, that is something our front desk would have been happy to provide immediately.We appreciate the opportunity to clarify these points, and we will continue working to ensure expectations are clear for all future guests.

  I needed to stay here due to a medical appointment that was close by.I’ll admit I was hesitant to book. I stayed years ago and it wasn’t great (dated room and uncomfortable bed).I’m a platinum member and requested a quiet room in the main building. Happy to say my request was fulfilled!I was given Room 128 - on the main floor, long walk down a corridor to get there (I didn’t mind), and it was a single queen bed in a corner style room. It was small but conveniently laid out. Had a fireplace which I couldn’t figure out but too lazy to call the front desk lol.It was clean, updated, and for the most part, quiet (it’s far away from the pool so you don’t hear any of that noise).It’s right across from Kingsway Mall so it’s walkable to get there. There were a few addicts hanging around the bus terminal but I didn’t feel unsafe in the area (I talked to the front desk to ask if it was safe to walk and they reassured me).There is a lovely restaurant on the top level with a great view of the city. The breakfast isn’t free, but it’s reasonably priced ($9.99 gets you a lot of choices). It’s very worth it to pay for breakfast. Service was great and the food excellent. Made me wish I hadn’t ate at the mall the evening prior.It’s definitely not the fanciest BW that I’ve stayed at, but it’s reasonably priced, clean, and convenient.I would stay again.   I am a Diamond Select member of BW, and always stay at BWs when I travel across Canada. From time to time, I ask the front desk staff if I can get a late checkout (ie. one hour later than normal). This is the only BW location that has a “policy” (according to Front Desk Staff and on-duty manager) that has no wiggle room for a late checkout. Although, I don’t agree with the policy, I could have understood it if it was related to me in a professional manner, however I experienced the opposite and was given the message in a rude manner, with a tone that indicated that I was an annoyance for just asking. As I said, I stay at BWs across Canada and am always impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, the Edmonton City Centre location is the first time I have experienced being treated like an annoying child.
