    Great location. Close to the West Edmonton Mall, and some.fabulous restaurants.The amenities were excellent. The fitness room was great, the pool and hot tub were a lot of fun, and the games room was an excellent place to spend some fun family time.The whole facility was very clean and welcoming.Highly recommend!     Great experience in west Edmonton

    I highly recommend this hotel. It is well-located near West Edmonton Mall. Lots of parking available. Room was very comfortable and well-equipped. I am a swimmer and I love the pool at this hotel. It is very clean, long enough to swim lengths, good temperature and has excellent hours (it opens at 5 a.m.) Breakfast area is large and bright with a full selection of hot and cold items. Also, the hot items change daily so you are not always getting the same food.     Below expectations- dirty, noise and lack of communication

    We booked in and dropped our stuff into the room. There were no cart trolleys so they went and got one that was left on 3rd floor. We then left to go to the alley and mall and came back after supper. My son went to crawl into bed to watch tv and was met with hairs and black thread globs and stains in his bed! I immediately called front desk and they had maintenance come look at it. He looked at it and looked grossed out like we were. He then asked what we wanted to do with it. Obviously needed the bed changed into new linens. He came back and only had sheets. He pulled back the top layer and took off the bottom sheet. He then looked at the pillows too and back and left them and said there you go and left. We then had to make the bed ourselves. Upon doing so we noticed French fries on the bed ledge and behind the bed. We were so mad. Moved the fries to the ground and made the bed ourselves. Upon putting the comforter on we realized left the top sheet and the comforter was also dirty with stains and food debris. I took it to the front desk and she gave me a new comforter. She said she’d advise management. When they said they don’t do housekeeping for stays they really meant it now didn’t they. We went downstairs to enjoy the new games room space before super as well. There was a smoke detector on a table and a piece of it was broken off and battery compartment with battery was open. I forgot to advise on way out and so I messaged them on the text system. They said they’d take care of it. However when going back after the bed incident it was still there and little kids were playing around with it. It was now time for bed and the noise at night was horrendous! We were woken up at 3am with kids yelling and screaming. We have the benefit of the doubt it was just a late night checkin but nope we found out the next night same thing but worse. Anyways let’s not jump ahead. In the am after the breakfast fiasco of whip cream exploding everywhere and the spoon and the berries germ infested incident we left for the day to our tournament. We came back at supper time and asked what would be done for everything that went wrong. She was confused and no notes were left on our file!!! So I again let them know what went on and they apologized but no resolution. Said they’d contact the manager right away and let me know. Heard nothing. I was exhausted as we didn’t sleep night before because of the noise. I went to bed at 10 and my son was in bed by 9. My husband finished watching some Olympics and went to bed. I was woken up not 1x, not 2x but 3x with noise getting worse and worse each time. I finally called at 1am and was told there was a birthday party who booked the rooms downstairs and they went past and now were leaving and she was advising them to leave and be quiet. I said I’m sorry 11pm is 2 hours ago and isn’t there a noise ordinance? She said they were leaving. I said I’m a paying guest who paid to sleep all night and having people yelling, screaming, talking, banging and causing us not to be able to sleep is unacceptable. She just kept to her story of a booked birthday party. The noise got worse and my husband was livid as it was now way passed 1 and went into the hallway and found out the noise was next door room 104. Kids were in the room without adults so he forcefully banged on the door once loudly and wouldn’t you know it the noise instantly stopped. Me so angry at the situation now couldn’t sleep and was up and before you knew it it was 6am time to get up and pack up. 7am the boys grabbed a quick breakfast and packed the car. I went to the front and was told manager doesn’t come in until Tuesday and is only here M-F 7-3 no holidays! I asked what was being done and she said I understand you were upset with noise? I almost lost it. Told my story yet again for the 5th time and she said oh well here’s the managers card. Best I can do is 20% off right now. Printed my bill and off we went. We have stayed here several times and have been a loyal BW member for years. We were diamond elite at one point and still choose BW when we can. We were so disappointed in the way we were treated, the condition and lack of care for our room and food concerns, and the total lack of communication between staff. We were livid they didn’t care about paying guests restful sleep and noise and parties are ok at any hour. We come to this tournament EVERY year and next year will NOT choose this location.
