Good location for walking downtown, room wasn’t great

    rating01 Feb 2026

Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and Rogers Place was the best part. Booked a room with a jacuzzi suite and it was incredibly dirty, could not use it. The housekeeping staff tried really hard to fix the problem for us, but nothing worked. The housekeeping staff and manager were amazing, felt terrible about us having that room when it was supposed to be closed as it was a known issue. Were offered another room if it could not be resolved. Front desk rep said it was fixed when we came back to the hotel after a few hours and wouldn’t move us to another room. Tried it again and same thing, disgusting mess coming from the jets.Prices were high for rooms, but there was a concert and hockey game over the weekend.Parking was in a parkade beside the hotel, so not ideal for transferring luggage, but it was fine. Best for smaller vehicles. Not a great experience for what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away.

    Comfortable & quiet

    rating24 Nov 2025

I stayed at the Delta in November for a conference nearby, and was happy to find out that I had been upgraded to a suite after booking. Here are my thoughts on my stay:Pros:– Front desk staff were great– Good security measures in place at the front door (downtown area can be shady)– Beds are comfortable with nice sheets and duvets– Complimentary water bottles in the room– My room was extremely quiet - I heard nothing from outside or other guests– Within walking distance of many restaurants, pubs, Rogers Place, the Edmonton Convention Centre, a liquor store and a grocery store.– Shower pressure was good; my room had a second shower head which was lovely!Cons:– The pillows were small and overstuffed, making them too thick & too hard for my liking– Parking is not underground but in an adjacent lot (quite close, however). This is less desirable since there are quite a few shady looking people (unhoused) in the area.– I found the District 102 restaurant expensive– There is no hot tub or steam room– Limited channels on the TVI enjoyed my stay here, slept well and was very comfortable. One thing to note is that this is a very large hotel, and there are many rooms on each floor, so once you go up the elevator, be prepared to walk a long way to get to your room. If you have limited mobility - be sure to request a room closer to the elevator. I had several trips to make to unload my effects and park my car, and was a sweaty mess by the time I was done & could sit down in my room.

Lovely hotel but didn't feel safe

    rating05 Jul 2025

Super friendly staff, lovely rooms & hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was great. We had difficulty entering the main foyer initially which was a buzz in system. When inside the staff were great. We enjoyed a visit to the Royal Alberta Museum but sadly we left early due to not feeling safe. Too many homeless people following us or entering restaurants as we ate. To top it off, we got a parking ticket even though we used the app the staff told us about. It cost us $50 & the fine is $100. The fine said we didn't display the ticket but this was an app!!So not only are we out of pocket for our last night in the hotel but also a parking fine. Really sorry Edmonton wasn't the place for us. Silvia Siposova, Owner at Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton Centre Suites, responded to this review Thank you for choosing to stay with us and thank you for taking the time to complete an honest review. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Guest comfort and safety are of the utmost concern to us, and our hotel is committed to making every possible effort to provide a secure environment. We know being in the heart of downtown comes with some challenges, especially safety concerns. We will continue to communicate these challenges with the City of Edmonton as well as City Centre Mall security team to ensure the security in downtown area continues to be a high priority, so not only the city residents but also the hotel guests feel safe. Although we fell short of meeting your expectations during your stay, I hope you will consider our hotel on your next visit to the area so that we can deliver on the guest experience you deserve.

Really enjoying our stay so far at this hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I love how they gave us the option to cancel after the oilers was cancelled, unlike other hotels. We decided to stay anyways and enjoying our time here. It is an, quiet, spacious. Wonderful place for couples.
