Location

This hotel is located just a short distance from the world's largest shopping centre, West Edmonton Mall, which spans 48 city blocks. Also near the hotel, guests can visit the Muttart Conservatory, a series of glass pyramids which are home to more than 700 species of plants. The hotel lies 20 km from Edmonton and its tourist centre and shops and Edmonton International Airport is just 30 km away.

Facility

103 rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services include room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a photocopier.

Rooms

    Hampton Inn &Suites St Albert in Edmonton is one of the best hotels. The cleanliness is 100%, the continental breakfast is excellent,to go lunch packages for those people who have to rush out is unique and so much appreciated. The staff, Nyla, Rose, Roy, Jess, Nancy, Ana, Jane, Ruffa and Adoyla, make this place a wonderful place to be. Loved by your customers!     The best hotel among all we went to in our trip across BC and Alberta. Rooms are clean, airy and very comfortable. Location is also great!     Pros: The front desk staff as well as the housekeepers were very professional, friendly and welcoming, the hotel room was clean and very quiet at night and the stay there was extremely pleasant and relaxing overall. Cons: The air conditioning worked TOO well, making the room feel like a frozen tundra at times until you turned it off.The breakfast buffet was overcrowded and just okay (avoid the scrambled eggs and sausages at all costs), the pool was always full of people and the elevator was a slipping hazard due to excess pool water from folks not drying off properly before going to their rooms. Also, sketchy people hung around the lobby and front entrance (not sure if they were guests are just put up in the hotel for some reason). The "guests" at the hotel next door were even worse. I'm not a snob but coming across them was one of those "things that make you go hmmm" moments.     We stayed here for a hockey tournament with our 6 and 7 year old kids.It was a sketchy area with encampments set up around the hotel, transient people walking in and out of the hotel main area, very sketchy looking sending up women to hotel rooms.We also found crack pipes in the hallways and when we brought this up to the front desk the gentleman working the night shift said “this is what you get in this area”We will NEVER stay here again, it’s unsafe, disgusting and their staff don’t care about the safety of their guests.     Beware Stayers- Our Catalytic Converter was cut out from underneath our car sitting in The Hampton Inn parking lot

    We stayed a total of 3 nights- April 7-9I was there for a medical appointment post Breast Cancer.Sometime during the night of April 8th,Someone had cut out the Catalytic Converter and Oxygen Sensor from underneath my daughter’s car.We approached the front desk to raise awareness of the situation and to say they weren’t really helpful at all, is an understatement.We were told to call the Police to make a statement and to park in the back next time, where the surveillance cameras are better.The maintenance/security staff seemed annoyed that he had to go next door to The Courtyard hotel to see if they had video footage, as their front parking lot cameras were obscured.If your not sitting directly in front of the main doors, seems your outta luck.They showed us 1 picture of her car during that night and claimed from what they gather, stayers at The Courtyard did it. I saw absolutely no proof of that!To add insult to injury, We had to pay a total of $1600.80 for Midas to replace what was stolen.This experience ruined our trip.Something that was already an emotional day for me and my daughter.The hotel offered us nothing.They gave my account 1000 points after I asked if they were going to offer us anything to lighten the blow.Points I’ll never use as we’ll never be back!Beware future stayers and I pray this never happens to anyone else.
