BRUTAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Reservation made two weeks in advance through a third party provider and paid in full was cancelled ONE HOUR PRIOR TO CHECK IN.Absolutely horrible customer service.

We were evacuated due to the Fort McMurray wildfire. We had to PAY upfront for the room. They do not do pre -authorizations. We had to pay from Tuesday till Monday upfront because they would not let us extend a day at a time. The evacuation ban was lifted on Saturday and we could go home. The hotel refused to refund any money for the 2 extra days that we did not use the room. Several families were in the lobby in the same situation. It is not their policy to refund under any circumstances. In my opinion this is insensitive and unprofessional to take advantage of family’s in a situation where they are displaced and having to pay out of pocket for an uncontrollable event.

I arrived at this spotless hotel after after a long day of travel and attending an emotional memorial service. I met Michael at the front desk. He was so warm and welcoming, thoughtful and competent. He heard my story and gave me a 3rd floor room on the quiet side of the hotel. I came down later for the Wifi info and again he was so helpful. I also met the general manager (or assistant GM). We chatted for a bit and he said that they have a complimentary laundry room. Can you believe it? The rate was incredible and to have this available is fantastic. Redwater is a bit NE of Edmonton and well worth the drive if you are staying in the capital. A bonus is that there is a Burger Baron across the street. I hope to be back one day.

The hotel is not what it used to be....

We had a King Room...they advertise free breakfast, free water and free paper. None of this is available. The TV only has a few channels..they kept saying the server needed to be restart...Other staff told us that they get complaints all the time about there being very few channels...and that we should just click through until we find a channel we could get. There wasn't always someone available at the desk nor when you called from the phone in the room....not somewhere I would go again.

Was there for a little weekend get away and the hotel was nice and upgraded and so clean! Very nice customer service and amazing prices! Plus we got upgraded for no extra charge! Would really recommend
