    We checked into this hotel and discovered the elevator was not working first of all we requested a room on the main floor as we were seniors with limited mobility we ended up with a room on the second floor so we had to climb one flight of stairs to get to our roomWhen we checked out, everything was fine but then we received an email stating that there was damage to the television in this room and we were going to be charged $595 for a new television. We requested a picture of the damage television and it appeared That someone cleaning the television screen had scratched it as evidenced by the circular movement of the scratch on the screen we spent approximately 10 minutes watching the television in the two nights that we spent there and under no circumstances did we in anyway damage that television.We are seniors travelling from another province, and we feel that we have been taking advantage of because we were seniors, and because we live in another province and are unable to travel back to the hotel to fight for our rights in this caseWe will never stay at a Ramada Inn again if this is the way we are going to be treated by this hotel chain Anila Malik, General Manager at Ramada by Wyndham Sherwood Park, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. According to our records, this message was sent and successfully delivered to you prior to your check-in.While we always strive to accommodate first-floor room requests, unfortunately, due to limited availability at the time of your arrival, we were unable to fulfill this request. As a result, we assigned you the closest possible floor.As previously mentioned, we conduct thorough inspections of all rooms prior to guest arrival, with particular attention to details that affect comfort and quality.The televisions in our property are recently purchased, and we perform regular inspections to ensure they remain in excellent condition. The marks found on the TV were not present prior to your stay and were only discovered after your departure. These were not reported at any point during your visit.This is a regrettable situation for us, as guest satisfaction is our top priority.     Where to begin? Check in went well, then went downhill. Got up to our room which was on the 4th floor -- executive level/supposedly with only access for those on the 4th floor. Door was propped open for anyone to access. The door to our room did not latch - had to slam and sometimes more than once. The bathroom in the room was "really something" -- grout was grey/black in places, shower curtain was ripped. The floor was cleaned with round corners, and in the corners it was filthy. The toilet paper -- was not aware that such a cheap brand was available - like using 60 grit sandpaper!! Some of the furniture in the room was falling apart. The windows have not been washed for so long it actually looked like a permanent haze. The Elevator was not working more often than it worked - had to use the stairs multiples of times. So bad they had a "premade sign" to tape onto the door. Staff attitude -- yes, we know. The elevator itself has layers of paint chipped off. The award statues right behind the front desk, are covered in layers of dust. The front desk guy was 2 feet outside the front door vaping. Disgusting!! This hotel is not one I would recommend -- come on Ramada you can do better. We recently stayed at Ramada in Pincher Creek and it was great. The only reason it gets even a one star is because the bed/bedding was OK and they had Dove shampoo's and soaps. When we checked using the stairs once again to carry our luggage as the elevator was once again Out of Order. There was a sign " Water being turned off", inquired as to why . The reply well it has to be turned off for the elevator repair??? The TV stand, although , unfortunately sustained a minor chip at the bottom. We even arranged for overtime repairs over the weekend to expedite the process. While it was temporarily operational, it regrettably malfunctioned again. Our team remains committed to a permanent solution and is working closely with the service provider to ensure this is resolved as soon as possible.At Ramada, our guests’ comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.     Stayed in room 116 for a night to escape from home renovations.check in was quick and easy and the girl at the desk was helpful and friendly. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the shower had decent pressure with an abundance of hot water , we had a restful night on the comfortable beds It was a good hotel for what we needed with plenty of food options with in walking distance .     Old and decrepit Ramada. Clean but in desperate need of an update. Overpriced for what it is. Staff was very nice and helpful. It’s next to Boston pizza which was pretty good. Would have stayed somewhere else if I had known. Was at Wyndham Gardens airport which was far superior. Breakfast was pitiful and sparse. Reception is responsible for keeping up with it.
