Location

Connected to 5 major office towers and over 400 stores, businesses and services in the Edmonton City Centre Mall, every convenience of downtown Edmonton is at guests' fingertips. Other nearby attractions include the brand new Sir Winston Churchill Square and its plethora of annual international festivals, the Shaw Conference Centre, City Hall, Provincial Law Courts and the Art District - comprising of the Edmonton Art Gallery, Citadel Theatre and Winspear Centre for the Performing Arts.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 29-storey building with a lift and 313 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday.     The staff were excellent and the room was a very good size! Decent sleep on comfy beds and pillows. Safe underground parking. Good restaurants in the building and walking distance.Yes there are a few people experiencing homelessness nearby but just keep walking. They were of no consequence to our stay and we walked a lot around the area.     We stayed at this hotel while in town for a hockey game. Parking was located in the connecting MNP tower building for an additional $30/night. We had arrived early, understanding we may not be able to check right away. Luckily they were able to accommodate us immediately. Check in was friendly, and efficient. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, robes, hair dryer in room. Usb outlets and plenty of available outlets. Within the tower are many dining options. You can also access the pedway system to stay warm and dry getting to different areas including the arena. Our booking offered us a coupon for a couple of the restaurants however we did not receive this until we had returned for the evening so unable to take advantage of that. Great stay, would consider again if in the area.     Pretty solid stay at the Sandman. Came down for an Oilers game and the location is perfect! Connecting pedways so you never had to walk outside. Lots of quality restaurants within a few blocks and the city centre mall to the south (also connected)Room was good and with everything we needed. A couple small touch ups and there’d be nothing to nitpick. Nice pool and hot tub on the top floor to over look the downtown core. Underground and near by parking available, but both can be a bit tight and chaotic.     We stayed at the Sandman Signature Edmonton Downtown Hotel in a Grand Room with two queen beds and overall had a wonderful experience. The staff truly made the stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and went above and beyond to help!The room was spacious and clean. One small downside was the pillows, which were very thick and quite firm and ended up being hard on all of our necks.I do want to note that room service closes on game nights, which I was disappointed to learn after arrival. I currently have a broken foot and had planned to order room service while my husband and son attended the game. That said, the front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and kindly brought my skip the dish order up to my room for me when it arrived, which I truly appreciated.Despite a couple of minor inconveniences, the exceptional service more than made up for it. I would absolutely stay here again and commend the staff for their outstanding hospitality.     Terrible service way overpriced for a mediocre at best hotel room.

    Terrible service avoid this mediocre at best way overpriced hotel. $400 for one night including parking. Check in starts at 3 pm supposedly, wait in line behind 12 people, arrive at 3:45 pm room not ready. Come back half an hour later and wait in line a second time room is finally ready at 4:30 so or plans are now screwed up. Is the cigarette burn in the couch part of the package deal? Will not return.
