Location

Located in at the heart of South Edmonton with easy access from Calgary Trail and Gateway Boulevard, this hotel lies just to the north of Whitemund Drive. It is just 15 minutes to Edmonton International Airport and around 5 minutes to a selection of bars, restaurants and nightclubs on Whyte Avenue. The nearest links to the public transport can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes, it is 10 minutes walk to an underground station whilst an array of shopping venues are 5 minutes drive away. West Edmonton Mall, the “Greatest Indoor Show on Earth” and the world’s largest indoor shopping centre is approximately 15 minutes drive from the hotel.

Facility

10 suites, 112 single rooms and 85 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park. Other services include a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service and a laundry service. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested.     Substandard hotel. Elevator broken. Room key didn't work Room smelt of smoke. Seedy vibe.     Travelodge South Staff was great and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I prepaid a week and then another week and then I was paying daily because I am regularly going to the U of A Hospital for IV Fusions from a deep wound caused by a dog and regular clinic visits until better which they knew about. They gave me a Hospital discount but only because I overheard someone on the phone ask so I brought it up. I use my points as well in between....(I was also here a month prior for a few weeks as well) Yesterday I went to pay for another tonight and they told me they were fully booked and I had to check out; I was shocked and phoned Wyndham to help because they know I pay everyday the past week but now I have to go for x-rays etc so I was to stay until the dr called me or my appointment Tues/Wed. They told me I had to leave so I quickly packed up my stuff crying and nowhere to go and my leg that I have to be very careful with as to not hit it on anything. I packed up and left my stuff there and eventually found a ride to pick it up. (I only know 1 person in the city and he's 64, crippled with MS and uses a walker, he did tell me a cleaning staff helped him with my belongings) I went back later to grab a little table I forgot there and the evening lady said she didn't know why the morning staff let that happened or why the mix up but I can come back today to check back in like that was not very nice of them because even super 8 was sold out so eventually someone got a hold of a friend of a friend and they picked me up from Sherwood Park. It's great to stay there and quiet and a respectful environment however that was NOT COOL to do that to me considering the circumstances. Thank You.

    This location has no pool or hot tub, and the weight room is dirty and smells like cigarettes. Its dirty and worn down the beds are not even actual beds thier just the type of bed thats collapsible for a guest bedroom or students. The rugs are filthy and the free breakfast is basic cereal, toast, boiled eggs and fruit, not a hot breakfast. The furnishings old and the curtains are ripped and dirty. If your a truck driver or looking for a super sketchy but cheap place for a night..this is it.     Location was great, easy to find, close to all the relevant shops, with free parking. The room was comfortable and acceptably clean. I loved having a refridgerator in my room for my medication, all these for a very small fee. I could have paid near double elsewhere and probably not get all these.     Worst hotel in my life I ever stayed with the Wyndham

    Worst hotel I have ever stayed in my whole life. Me and my coworker stayed last night on December sixth! the first room the lady gave us was full of hairs on the sheets. It seems no housekeeping was done in the room the second room when she changed us. It was more hairs on the sheets. It was so disgusting at that moment that she wrote the front desk was unable to do anything, and she refused to help us at that moment. We were so tired at that time that we could not change the Hotel and no response till now from the management.
