  Good Value For the Money

  The Good:- Good price- Roomy Suites- Good in room coffee- Clean & comfortable - Great Staff- Underground parkingThe Not So Good- No weights in the fitness room, just cardio equipment crammed into a small space.- Poor wifi. I’ve stayed her a few times on business and each time the wifi craps out when streaming or trying to download files for work. - Overhead door controls to underground parking freeze when too cold. Had to call the front desk a couple of times to open the door from inside.Overall it a nice place for extended stays for the price. If it wasn’t for the wifi I would be returning on a regular basis.

  Worst experience ever

  Checked in at 3. Went up to our room to find that it had a portable A/C unit propped up on one of the nightstands which had been moved in front of the window as the hotels A/C was no longer working. Checked closer to find it draining into the recycling can which was behind it and overflowing onto the floor. Didn’t think much about it so we left the room to go for supper came back later in the evening to find another litre of water had collected in the a/c drain bucket so I dumped it again. Sat in the room for about 30 minutes and my allergies started going nuts and the room had a strange musty smell to it. I then suggested to the rest of the family that maybe we shy leave and by the time we packed up the kids were also complaining of stuffy noses. And sore throat’s. went to the front desk to inquire about checking out and was told no problem but you will be charged for the night. Described the issue again with the clerk and was told sorry would you like a printed bill or email no discount will be applied. When leaving check other units out and seen many with windows propped open and a/c units propped up in front of windows. Would I recommend this place definitely not there are way better places to stay for a slightly higher price and definitely well worth it. Perhaps, it would not be prudent to assume that allergies were as a result of being in a room for half hour when one has been in the same room for a couple of hours prior.   It couldn't have been more perfect for my visit to Fort McMurray to be with my son for his birthday.   Friendly staff, huge clean room and reasonable breakfast optiosn

  The staff was friendly (especially Alma). The room was huge and clean.The hot breakfast items are microwaved and then placed in the buffet warming trays - it would sometimes get cold (quiche and sausages) if the burners were off. We wanted to use the underground parking because it was very cold when we were in Fort McMurray. Unfortunately, after slowly going thru 3 speed bumps, there was a metal plate on the ground that sticks up - our Toyota Camry (that's low) got damaged because the metal plate hit the plastic piece at the exterior front passenger.In general, great value for what we got.   The heated indoor parking is great / very good breakfast / gym is just basic / rooms are large / staff is friendly. Rooms are large and quiet. I stay here 4 times per year.
