Location

Centrally located in Grande Prairie, this hotel is located across from sporting arenas and approximately 9.5 km from Grande Prairie Airport. There are government buildings, theatres and the City Hall within walking distance of the property. Other nearby points of interest include the Bonnetts Energy Centre (around 3 minutes' drive), Grande Prairie Regional College (around 5 minutes' drive), Coca-Cola Centre (around 8 minutes' drive) and Grande Prairie Museum (around 15 minutes' drive away). Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club is around 7 minutes' drive from the property, and Grande Prairie Ski Club is around 20 minutes' drive away.

Facility

137 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Rooms

    One night stay for business. The hotel is decent. The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. The pillows were not great. The Denny's attached to the hotel was great for breakfast.     Room was very clean. Pool was really clean. Housekeeping staff very friendly and pleasant. Front desk outstanding. Late check-in and late check-out without any hassles. Very friendly and welcoming. Room very quiet except for the train late at night. But that was ok… small inconvenience the first night when the train horn woke me.Easy walk to shopping street and small interesting shops and restaurants. And to the beautiful Art Gallery of Grande Prairie.     Very nice place but...

    Very nice room but....in the middle of the night the AC conked out and we could smell wires burning! Called and got a new room immediately. The manager was great but only offered us some Dennys coupons. It would have been nice to have our room comped or at least gotten a free stay another time.     I am a photographer so I travel to different places and I came across this hotel while I was travelling. I stayed on this hotel for 1 night and I’m impressed by how the staff take the hospitality seriously. The room that was given to me was absolutely beautiful. I can say that it was meticulously cleaned. The front desk and house keeping was very nice and friendly. They just smile and greet me whenever they see me. Shelamitte the lady that helped me checked in was beyond helpful and gave me all the information I needed for my stay. I remember Jodie from the housekeeping made sure that my stay was nice and comfortable. I’ve been to different hotels but this Sandman is my favorite. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would probably stay there again. Thank you Sandman Grande Prairie for the great service!
