Location

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Halifax, just steps away from the historic waterfront, restaurants and shopping. Guests will find links to the public transport network just 1 minute's walk away (Metro Transit station), while it is only 500 m to the Neptune Theatre, the bus station, the public gardens and Spring Garden Road shops. Citadel Hill is 1.5 km, the Casino NS and the Metro Centre are 1.6 km, Dartmouth is 6 km and it is 25 km to the ski region of Ski Martock.

Facility

177 rooms, including 8 junior suites, 18 suites, 41 single rooms and 78 double rooms, are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub.     Ok....the heading will be explained !Nice hotel, very good staff, super clean, great bed, good price.I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, very little surprises me.The location of the restaurant is a little strange. The food there was fantastic, great service. But it's quite a walk from the hotel through a winding passage.But the strangest thing was in the bathroom. So strange, I took pictures. The toilet paper is not on a roll, but in sheets like tissues.You need to use both hands, and pull it out gently.....or else it rips into little pieces. I have never seen this before. I just don't understand why !Happy to get feedback on this, would love know if this is the newest invention we don't need, or the next best thing. I found it strange.     Halifax is a very busy city in summer. We usually stay at a different hotel but it was unavailable this time. We had stayed here many years ago so decided to stay here again. We were not disappointed. We had reservations, so check-in and check-out were super quick and easy. The room was quite clean and comfortable, even considering our room was facing Hollis Street which was busy at times. It had all the amenities and we had several nights rest.Parking is a little bit of an issue in that the hotel has limited underground parking, but there is a parking garage in the next block.There is a restaurant on site, Latitude 44, which provides a variety of meals.It is close to the harbourfront, numerous restaurants and bars.Overall, a great place to stay. We will be returning.     Hotel near all the local hot spots for tourists!

    Overall a really lovely hotel, clean and spacious room. If you're a light sleeper I'd advise asking for a room higher up, on the second floor there was a fair amount of street noise, but that's out of their control! This hotel is within walking distance to lots of the busy tourist spots, so unless you're adventuring elsewhere once you're at the hotel you certainly don't need a car. The pool area was clean and warm, but it's not a huge pool, still nice to have though! I'd happily stay again.     We arrived on Wednesday July 30, with the intention to stay for 7 days at The Four Points By Sheraton Halifax, I wish we can stay longer, upon arrival Remon at the front desk was so welcoming and pleasant to talk to, what a fine young gentleman, I have travelled the world but honestly this the first time I’ve felt at home.The rooms are spacious and clean.With the turmoil in The USA, vacationing in Halifax was an excellent choice.     Just awful from check in to check out

    Well to start off it took over an hour to check in. Then we get in the elevator that looks like something out of a horror movie. Room was ok, nothing special for the price. Then to try to sleep is impossible. The construction goes on 24 hours a day. We didn't sleep and checked out at 7am . Worst nights sleep I've had in years.
