    The customer service is absolutely terrible, did not ask how my stay was or quite frankly didn't care about what I did have to say.The room was absolutely disgusting with dirt and dust. I couldn't breathe while trying to sleep there as it made me so stuffed up.The noise all throughout the night was terrible with others slamming doors, and everyone heading to breakfast at 5:30am. There isn't any sound barrier. Gym was out of service.Last time I stayed here elevator didn't work. Customer service rep couldn't give me a final price when booking so when I checked out the amount was a surprise. I could not get a single ounce of sleep here. I discussed with the manager Tasla, who apologized but did nothing of course :) The amount of money that they make and put no money back into this dump is surprising. I will not be back.

    Hotel was fine but we were used to two weeks free parking and had to pay extra because they changed that options but never told us.

    Theft from staff!

    This was probably our 50th staff at this hotel - it's basic, but never any issues. We took the shuttle to the airport at 4 am, and upon arriving, we realized we had forgotten a $49 LuLu Lemon hat in the room by the TV. I called the hotel, who said they would retrieve it, and then I arranged for a family member to collect it a couple of hours later from the front desk. Upon arrival by said family member, they claimed they could not find it. Which is total BS. Anyways, with that being said, we won't be staying at this hotel ever again. I called again to check with the front desk, and they said if I didn't witness the theft, then it did not happen! HA ! Disappointed to say the least.

    This was our second stay at this hotel. In the past, we have stayed at other Halifax airport hotels, but the Halifax Airport Hotel offers the most affordable Stay & Fly option. The affordability comes with pluses and minuses. We like the fact that we can get a room, enjoy a meal at an onsite restaurant and leave our car while we are away, all at a very reasonable rate considering the range of services offered.On the plus side, our room was comfortable and, contrary to other reviews, quite clean. A minus is the odd configuration of the bathroom, which is split into two separate rooms with the bathtub on one side, the sink on the other side. Also, the remote control for the TV didn't work well. And, the building was quite noisy when we arrived in the afternoon, due to many youngsters running up and down the halls (hockey tournament, we were told). This continued until well after dinner. Fortunately, everyone settled down for the night.We especially appreciate the Hidden Gem restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. The hotel's continental breakfast the next morning was not exceptional, but it suited our needs for an early-morning flight.Other reviewers have noted problems with the airport shuttle. When we checked in, the front-desk staff let us know when we would need to be ready to catch the shuttle, and that it is available on a first-come, first-served basis. So we made sure to be in the lobby early. Also, bear in mind that this is a smaller van-sized shuttle, not the bus size of the other airport hotel shuttles, so seating is limited. And, be aware that the shuttle does not have a regular schedule for picking people up from the airport, so when your flight arrives, you need to call the hotel to notify the driver.One drawback to the long-term parking is that, at least in the red lot where we were parked, the sections are not marked, and there is no lighting. Take note of where your car is parked so that when you return, you can find it (especially in the dark).On our return, the weather was miserable, with wind and freezing rain. We were grateful to the shuttle driver who picked us up at the airport terminal and made sure we were at our car when he dropped us off. I'm sure these drivers endure far too many bad-weather days and nights to count, so we're glad they do what they do.

    Multiple people told me not to book this hotel because of the issues they had with the long term parking and the customer service but I chose to ignore it and book anyways because it was the least expensive option. I booked directly through the website and some how my dates were changed back to the date I was making the reservation. When I contacted the hotel days later when I noticed the incorrect date they were unwilling to help me. Their staff even admitted to me that when you make the reservation online it can default back to the date you make the reservation and it was my responsibility to verify afterwards with the confirmation email. I understand that it was my responsibility to read it completely and notice this, and will admit I didn't read carefully (I doubt many of us do and that is why I am warning others). When I originally saw the date I thought it was the date my reservation was made. My mistake. However, it was was staffs nonchalant and rude attitude towards me questioning this that bothered me and the fact they admitted this happens with their system was bizarre. I obviously did not show up on that date and when I asked to have the amount paid transferred to my correct reservation they told me it was impossible to do. To be honest it sounded like this happens often and they did admit that they have a lot of no shows. So this is a WARNING to everyone to not let this happen to you. I know they will likely reply to this and again tell me that it's my responsibility to verify the correct dates but knowing this happens on your website and leaving it as is, is negligent. I cancelled future reservations and I don't expect anything to be done but I want to warn others to be careful and don't fall victim to this. Maybe I will prevent it from happening again. There are other hotels near by that are far better.
