Location

    Not a good environment and breakfast really bad

    Really wouldn’t recommend if you come for hockey tournaments if your team wants to socialize they don’t have rooms for it and got kicked out at 10 pm the lobby is under construction for about 5 months so the kids had no place to play mini sticks the breakfast and the every tv from the hotel turned off and wasn’t working so couldn’t watch the game really wouldn’t recommend General Manager, Owner at Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton Halifax - Dartmouth, responded to this review Dear Paul,Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations. While we did have a few areas sectioned off during our renovations, we aimed to minimize the impact on guests as much as possible. Please understand that we do not allow mini sticks in the hotel to ensure guest safety and to prevent any possible damage. Regarding the TV, there was a disruption with the TV provider, but we resolved it by morning. We truly regret any disappointment with your stay and hope you will consider returning in the future.     Birthday Party Stay.

    We held my daughters birthday party here and it was amazing. We were warmly welcomed by the staff at check in. Our room was ready for us and we walked in to the room decorated with balloons and a gift for my daughter. The kiddos had a blast at the pool although busy they made new friends and had a ton of fun splashing around. They stayed right to the end when the pool closed at 10 p.m. our beds were comfy and everyone had a great sleep and we finished our stay with a buffet breakfast which had many options and lots to choose from. The kids loved the waffle station. Upon check out the staff was fantastic. We had an amazing night and will be back again soon.     We had a great stay! Hotel is in a great location, close to all shopping and amenities we needed. We were travelling for business in Burnside, and this was in very close proximity to burnside. Room was very clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable, overall we would choose this hotel again.     Great area for shopping! Some front desk staff could use an attitude adjustment.

    We loved the location, close to everything we needed and more! Unfortunately, there were many things that could have been better. A couple of the front desk staff were very rude. The seal was broken in the hotel room window, which was steamed up and had water run streaks between the glass, making it very difficult to see out. The beds were uncomfortable and the duvet cover had an opening in the bottom, the duvet would always fall out on the floor. While the cover appeared clean the duvet didn’t. Sheets were small for the deep mattress in the bed and would come up exposing the mattress. Carpet was very dusty enough you could smell the dust. With an allergy to dust I would wake very congested each morning. Breakfast was manageable. Although there were a lot of people for breakfast there was no one cleaning tables. We had to clean/wipe down our own table. Parking was great, lots of room. We stayed at Hampton in Sydney and it was leaps and bounds over this one.
