Location

This hotel is located just 15 minutes from the historic centre of Halifax. Guests will find shopping, restaurants and the IMAX cinema complex nearby. Both Bayer´s Lake Discount Shopping and the Halifax Metro Centre are 5 minutes away by car. The Casino Nova Scotia is a 15-minute drive from the hotel and it is around 40 minutes by car to Peggy´s Cove.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 6-storey building with a lift and 113 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     We have a few room for our company and out of 5 room. 3 of them had mice in the room. It is no very clean and make you wonder where did the mice go while you are not there.     I booked this through a third party as i was looking for a cheap hotel but we used to stay here with the kids all the time for the water slide. I was woke up by housekeeping to clean the room at 0900 i wanted to sleep in. There were stains on my sheets prob. Wouldn’t come out but still, the remote control was dirty (prob the dirtiest thing in the room really), blinds had stains, There was a flood so the basement, pool etc all shut down inc. elevators, a lady on guard… not a good sign. Pool and everything shut down. I wouldn’t stay here again even if it is cheap.     Freezing pool

    We went with toddlers for a staycation and use of the pool. The pool was freezing! Coldest hotel pool we’ve been to. No pool towels on a Saturday morning at 9 am. We informed the front desk, and they said the towel guy wasn’t in yet. Also no cinnamon buns which was a huge draw for the kids. Everything else was fine, but definitely wouldn’t go back.     I booked 15 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express for 4 night, a group of 5 people needed to rebook at another hotel, because there were infested with mice. When we arrived no one informed us of this problem, we were very very disappointed...
