    Great location close to all

    Loved the location being so close to ikea and Dartmouth crossing. The room was great and quiet with blackout blinds.There was a pool but there were too many kids so did not use. Breakfast had a variety of choices. The hotel looks so new. Thete is a bar and they do have a small menu if you want to eat there.There is also a laundry room for guests.There is a gym but also had kids in it so dod not use.

    Unfortunately, my stay was impacted by ongoing painting and renovation work during the day. The smell of paint on my floor was extremely strong and unpleasant.When I asked to be moved to another room, I was told that no rooms were available and that a room change might be possible the following day. This was disappointing, as the smell made it uncomfortable to stay in the room.Renovations should be better managed or clearly communicated in advance to avoid disturbing guests. With better planning and flexibility, this situation could have been handled much better.     Very Good One Night Stay

    We stayed here for a single night after having landed at Stanfield around 8:00 pm. There were five of us so we had two rooms: not cheap but what hotels are these days?This property is in what seems to be a "newer" area with restaurants, shopping, gas stations, etc. a short drive away although nothing is really "walkable". Check in was quick: both rooms were clean, spacious, modern and functional. The hotel was also very quiet despite being quite busy (parking was hard to come by when we arrived) and it being a Friday night. Breakfast was "typical HIE". They are also finishing off a large addition to the property which had no negative affect on out stay.If back in Dartmouth, I would definitely consider staying here again.

    Best hotel stay ever

    While its a little far from Halifax, if i return to Nova Scotia I would definitely stay here again at this hotel on the Dartmouth side. The location is great, close to tons of restaurants and shopping including Costco. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast has a good variety of items to choose from, better then most free breakfast hotels. The area is kept very clean and the staff is great! This hotel actually had a fan! I can't believe that's a huge selling feature but i think this is one of the few hotels I've ever stayed at with a fan LOL. Other features, the pool is clean and decent size. The laundry room and machines are very clean. While we were there, parts of the hotel were under construction to include suites that could hold families of more than 4 ppl. This really didn't affect our stay since we were out most of the day. All in all, this was one of the best stays we've had at any hotel. I can't wait to go back!     I wanted to correct the record from an earlier review. I stated my room rate was 370.00 and that was a typo, it was 284.00.The staff here are very nice and very helpful. They addressed my concern.The location is great, close to the hwy and plenty of places to eat, shop and visitHighly recommend.
