  Homewood Suites Halifax… you might have just made my Top Hotels list.

  Checked into Homewood Suites by Hilton Halifax‑Downtown and right from the start the staff were incredible — front desk, housekeeping, breakfast crew, everyone. I was a little confused about the parking setup, and they didn’t just point… they walked me through it, visually, step‑by‑step. Parked in a big, clean garage, came back inside, and the same staff member picked up our conversation like we never paused and guided me straight to the elevators. Little things like that go a long way.Day 1: Opened the door to my 14th‑floor room and instantly said wow. Huge space. Full‑size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchenette, pull‑out couch, and a rolling desk you can move anywhere.And then… the complimentary snack bar. Restocked daily. Fully free. I sent a picture home and my kids basically started a countdown for my return.Day 2: Slept like a dream — quiet, cool, super comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast in the morning was legit one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I’ve had: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, fresh juices… zero complaints.Came back from meetings to find the room refreshed, towels replaced, and yes… the snack bar topped up again.Day 3: By this point I realized this might be one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Perfect location, peaceful, and staff who genuinely care.I’ll admit — I raided that snack bar three times. Felt a little guilty until I learned it’s built into the room rate. My kids will treat me like a hero when I walk through the door, so I regret nothing.I truly hope to return — and not just for the snack bar… but it definitely doesn’t hurt.   We had exceptional customer service at Homewood suites. We were in a suite and it had lots of space and was very quiet! The kitchen has dishes, wine glasses etc which is great for take out meals! Great location to walk downtown. Wonderful hot breakfast with lots of options included. We will definitely stay here again if visiting Halifax.   Best breakfast at a Hilton yet.

  Great stay, got the 2 room suite on the 16th floor. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best. Karen in the breakfast area was fantastic ! They had shredded chicken breast !!!   Clean, welcoming and has a delicious breakfast buffet.

  We’ve stayed here frequently over the years, each time for 3 nights. We always feel at home as soon as we enter, especially as the staff are so friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel is ideally located in downtown Halifax and central to restaurants, shopping, museums, etc. What really sets Homewood Suites apart though is the morning breakfast. There’s a huge selection of delicious food made with quality ingredients and what I appreciate is the fact that there’s healthy options available. Karen, who often staffs the dining area; ensures that the buffet station never runs low, is attentive and quick to take away empty plates; even though it’s not expected and her big friendly Nfld. personality is always welcoming and fun.
