    Old and run down

    rating02 May 2026

The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. But oh my god. The curtains were ripped. The ceiling was stained. The door frames were all chipped and banged up. There was a large patched hole in the closet. The wall in there was filthy!! The desk chair looked like it was purchased at a flea market, all worn out. And what’s with the residential interior doors? I don’t think those are fire rated for a hotel. We paid $313.15 for one night for this run down room. Come on Prestige. You can do better than that!! Spend some of your money on the upkeep of your rooms. We stayed 2 night in 2 different rooms. One was as bad as the other. I tried to add the photos that I took but it won’t let me. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Definitely not worth the money!!

    Good for one night

The hotel doesn't have much eye appeal, but sleep was good and so was the price. It's more of a motel than a hotel. The hotel is right off the highway and a 10 minute drive to downtown Kamloops. There are gas stations, restaurants, and a mall nearby. It's in an area filled with many other hotels. The rooms feel worn but the beds were very comfortable. The walls are thin but we had no noise problems. The morning continental breakfast was good enough and the staff keeps up with stocking, cleaning very well.

An alright spot for the night.

This hotel is OK. Probably comparable with a standard Best Western or Travel Lodge. Property has wear including scuffs and dents in the halls and on the exterior of room doors. Some areas look dated including the shower, Air Con unit etc. Fairly clean aside from some corners and the phone receiver. Staff were really nice and helpful. The air conditioner was excessively loud (preventing sleep) and it needed to be on given its summer in the Okanagan. I called the front desk at midnight to see if they had ear plugs and they did, the staff member brought them to the room which was nice. Overall it was ok for a night, I have stayed at the other Prestige Hotel in Kamloops just across the street from this one, it’s much nicer and I was expecting the same but they are quite different so if you’re looking for something a bit more high end, spend the extra money and stay at the Prestige Hotel (not the lodge). It’s more comparable to the nicer rooms at the Coast or the Best Western Premier.

    Don't stay here.

Although most staff were friendly, maintenance was awesome! The second room we were moved to was quiet, the beds were just okay. The Hotel is shabby, old, with a somewhat descent reno j). It is extremely difficult to get parking out front. There is a really tasty Chinese food restaurant attached to the Hotel - and parking gets used by those patrons. No one offered to help us with our luggage - we found a cart and did it our selves. No one greets guests as the arrive nor when they come and go. Just not worth the money at all. We really expected more.
