    Expected better standard from Rocky Mountaineer

    Stayed for 1 night - allocated this hotel by Rocky Mountaineer. Felt “grubby” as soon as we arrived - in need of a good deep clean everywhere. We were in a river view room - but we couldn’t see the river - just a car park & hills in the distance. The worst problem is the noise - there is no sound insulation & we could hear the trains rumbling through even though we didn’t overlook the line. Also guests stomping around in room above us. Curtains were hanging off, dust on all lights, worn carpets. We expected better standards from Rocky Mountaineer!

    Nothing calm in Kamloops

    We stayed one night in this hotel . The hotel had a welcoming and easy check in procedure. The hotel has a contemporary feel,staff were noted to be friendly and helpful. Our room was a city view and at checking in we thought this might be quite nice but in reality it was a torture . The incessant noise from the Canadian Pacific Railway throughout the day and night is a major issue. The hotel provides earplugs and a white noise machine rather than dealing with the elephant in the room and soundproofing the building. The room was clean and well appointed. The decor a little tired.The pool was very small and had no sauna .which is a disappointment. Overall I was disappointed with my stay here and my mind is boggled as to why this hotel was built so close to the railway line.

    Staff was great. Very accommodating when I asked for a room with a view of park.Room was nice and clean. Smelled clean as well. Definitely stay there again.
