Location

The ski resort is approximately 45 minutes to the north of Kamloops amidst a ski and cross country ski area, and is easily reached from Vancouver, Seattle, Spokane, Kelowna, Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton. The immediate vicinity includes a selection of shops, restaurants and bars.

Facility

220 non-smoking rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The complex offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Cyclists can make use of the bicycle storage area and hire service. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A minibar is provided. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. With skiing, tobogganing and snowboarding opportunities, the holiday village offers the perfect base from which to enjoy winter sports or just a relaxing winter holiday. Ski passes are available locally. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym, billiards and yoga. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. A kids' club and a dance club round out the entertainment options.

Meals

The dining area includes a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Bed and breakfast can be booked. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The holiday village also offers special catering options. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    The motel is in a great location, surrounded by plenty of shops, streets, and restaurants. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, there wasn’t enough time to explore the area. Breakfast buffet was good.

    We went there with family - hot tube jets were broken and not working. Sauna had issues and it was not working to heat up and pool water was not clean - it was very disappointing. Check in Waite time was very long as it was only one person at the front desk .

    The Grand Hotel at Sun Peaks was a very comfortable place to stay during our daughter’s soccer tournament. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the overall experience was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly during our stay. The location was convenient, and it made for a relaxing place to come back to after busy tournament days. Overall, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

    Perfect spot for teams playing in Kamloops tournaments, nice and handy to the sports grounds, food spots, and everything else you need. Place was comfy, communication was sweet as, and the whole stay was easy and stress free. Definitely recommend!

    Beautiful location but off season amenities lacking

    We were doing a road trip and decided to break up the driving by staying a night in Sun Peaks. The hotel and rooms are nice; very clean and quiet. Our A/C was not working and the room was stuffy/ very warm. Unfortunately there were not many places open for dinner , and the hotel restaurant was unable to accommodate us. The secondary hotel restaurant/pub was not open due to the low season. I’m sure visiting during ski season would have been a different experience.
