Location

This hotel is located near Kicking Horse Resort, and it is connected to a shopping centre. Yoho National Park is a short drive away.

138 rooms and 83 suites are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing.     Hotel is needing some TLC

    Disappointed in our stay. The hotel is showing its age and maintenance is not keeping up. First off, the elevator was out of service and guest services thought sending guests multiple emails about it was their way to cya. The elevator went down in December. We were there in March and saw no one trying to fix it. Only signs on the elevator saying “out of order” and “thanks for understanding”. We didn’t realize how inconvenient it was until we had to haul our food and gear up 3 flights of stairs for 4 days. I don’t know about you but last time I checked we were not staying in a third world country that doesn’t maintain its equipment. There were paint chips on the stairways, dirty carpets and just a general feel that this place has changed. We have stayed here twice in the past during its early days. Beautiful, shiny, clean. It’s the best place to stay if you want to ski KH which is why we book here but this last experience will make us seriously look elsewhere.

    We stayed 2 nights we had blood on our bed sheets and mattress was filthy would not accommodate anything but moved us to a other room where the blinds where falling out lots of dust dirty cups would not recommend

    Timeshare resort at the foot of the Dawn E4 mountain Great views and a huge ski hill out back. Group of buildings; checked in one, stayed in another. Room was small comfortable in content and complete with chalet like accoutrements except the lack of air was a definite negative. The common areas were a little jaded and dreary. The front desk on arrival was not welcoming, more like it was a chore. Little information to be had, gruffly. Otherwise, it was OK

    Very clean and room has everything you need. Staff helpful. Undercover parking $15 a day. Absolute downside is no air con, on a relative hot day our room was quite stifling for most of the night. There were a lot of bugs and mozzies in the evening, if you want to sit outside take bug spray.Restaurant onsite was decent for dinner. Don’t stay on a Tuesday or Wednesday or no restaurants are open which means if you didn’t bring food up the mountain you have to drive all the way back to town. Also no bear refuge on those days.

    This is the timeshare resort at the base of Kicking Horse Ski Area. It was a great deal: a two-bedroom condo with full kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, washer/dryer and a large patio (first floor unit) cost only a bit more than the motels in Golden. This resort is about 7 miles out of town, at the base of a mountain, so surrounded by forest with views. We didn't use any of the resort facilities, but they looked good. The beds were very comfortable. This was the best place we stayed during a two-week trip. Great choice.
