    Choose anywhere else but the Super 8!

    Avoid this chain like the plague. They were a nightmare to book with, and I haven't been able to connect with anyone to discuss further. Unauthorized charges on my credit card. General Manager, Owner at Super 8 by Wyndham Lethbridge, responded to this review Dear Kristen,Thank you for your review and for giving us the opportunity to respond.According to our system records, your reservation was made on April 25 for a non-smoking room with two queen beds and no pets listed on the booking. On the day of your arrival, our front desk supervisor sent you a message regarding your reservation. We also attempted to contact you by phone, but the call went to voicemail.Later that evening, around 10:00 PM, you replied and informed us that you had already found another hotel, despite our efforts to accommodate you at our sister property located just a short distance from Super 8.As per our records, the invoice previously sent to you reflects the charges applied to your reservation. Please note that your original booking was for two nights under a non-refundable rate. However, as a gesture of goodwill and consideration, we only processed payment for one night plus taxes rather than charging the full non-refundable amount for both nights.If you have concerns regarding additional charges, you are welcome to contact your bank or credit card provider directly for further verification. We have the reservation records and supporting documentation available should they require confirmation from our side.We hope this helps clarify the matter.     Absolutely worst Management I've ever delt with - no Empathy at all.

    My friend, who is legally blind, was treated incredibly poorly by the staff and manager at this hotel and its affiliated property. She needed a room for one night before her flight. When her credit card didn’t go through, she became visibly upset and was told to go to another hotel (a $30 cab ride away).At the second hotel, I provided my credit card for authorization. About 15 minutes later, the manager from the first hotel (Super 8) contacted the second property and told them to refuse her service because she had been upset and crying. As it turns out, they also owned the second hotel they referred her to go to. They then forced her to leave, despite her being legally blind and alone in an unfamiliar area.When I called to advocate for her, the manager was extremely unprofessional and showed no empathy. She even claimed to be the owner of both hotels, which I find doubtful.This experience was shocking, unsafe, and unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel—or any of its affiliated properties—to anyone, especially those with disabilities.     Wyndham and Third Party Bookings

    Booked a 79.00 room in Lethbridge in September for October 21/25 for a one nite stay. I thought I was talking to hotel front desk, unbeknownst to me it was a third party booking called Webbeds. Cancelled room (automated) via phone number provided on confirmation email October 18/25 because we had an engine recall on our truck. No motor, no go. That in itself is another sad story! When received my Mastercard statement on October 26/25, was charged 133.40. When I called Super 8 Lethbridge said listed as “No Show” on October 21 and were unable to help me as a third party booking🤦‍♀️. Called every phone number for Wyndham, Webbeds, plus numbers Lethbridge Super 8 recommended. Everything was automated - no human to be found manning the phones. Finally found a human at Guest Relations, who was also a third party representative, who looked at my reservation and deemed it non-refundable. Nowhere on my confirmation email was that included. I informed Super 8 Lethbridge how working with these third parties did nothing for their name nor reputation plus being charged 133.40 versus 79.00. Ridiculous abuse of an innocent, non computer skilled, really nice senior person.     Nice staff, breakfast, Pet rooms in need of Care though

    While the Super 8 in central Lethbridge offers a convenient location and outstanding staff—Ange at the front desk, housekeeping, and all team members were exceptionally friendly—the experience in the pet-friendly section of the hotel left much to be desired.The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of items, and overall pricing was fair. However, the $30 per night pet fee was concerning. It is charged for “extra cleaning,” yet the pet-friendly room we stayed in was far from clean or well-maintained. These rooms are located in the older exterior section of the property, completely separate from the main building, and unfortunately reek of stale urine and cigarette smoke despite being described as non-smoking.The choice to have carpet in pet-designated rooms seems questionable, as there were visible old urine stains throughout, making it uncomfortable to even walk without shoes. The furniture was outdated, broken, and in some cases chewed or falling apart. One drawer nearly collapsed when opened. The bathroom also showed neglect, with missing grout and dirty tiles.It is clear that the pet-friendly rooms are in urgent need of deep cleaning, renovation, and ideally, the removal of carpeting. While we would likely return to this hotel without pets—since the main building appeared clean, modern, and renovated—we would not choose to stay in the pet section again under its current conditions.
