    Rooms were clean, check in was fast. Lower level room had an outside entrance and we parked in front of our room, very handy.

    Well, it's the Days Inn in Taber. You won't get 5 star service in Taber, but I'd stay here again, easily if I had to.THE GOOD: The place is clean. I mean, don't white glove it, but for the rating on this hotel, it was clean. I can put up with a lot of hotel sins if the place is clean and while not spotless, it was very clean. The bedding is comfortable and the A/C is quiet. Being on the ground floor means you can park outside your door and not drag your luggage through hallways. Plenty of towels and face cloths, and though there are are only the most basic of toiletries provided, they're in bigger pump bottles mounted for easy access, Dove brand, and therefore did the job. The breakfast is a hot/cold breakfast of pre-packaged type stuff but it was tasty and did the job. The person running the breakfast room was quite chatty. THE BAD: Look. I know it's Taber. I know this Hotel has seen a ton of use from work crews over the years, but it's got some very tired places. The door is a wood hollow door and I don't believe that's fire code appropriate, though I'm no fire marshal. There's a lot of gouges in the door - I'm assuming from people flipping the dead lock to keep the door open while they go for ice or something.The toiletries are absolute minimum. There is soap, shampoo, conditioner, and that's it. The cups for water and coffee are paper. The fridge was shut off so it was warm when I got there. I cranked it up to freezing and it got cold after awhile, but having a warm fridge when I got there wasn't appreciated. The former things I've mentioned seems like a lot of cost cutting things, but there's one more, which I'll save, as it falls one more category down.THE UGLY: Obvious cost cutting measures aside, the one thing they've cut on is comfort. The mattresses are cheap spring mattresses and the pillows are very small square pillows. My own home doesn't have anything overly expensive, but I haven't felt springs through a cheap mattress since I was a kid, and I was really glad I was alone so I could steal the pillows from the other bed.I'm getting too old and creaky to sleep on thin mattress covering springs again. I've stayed here before (when it was Super 8) and I'll likely stay here again, as I have family in the area and I wander back to Taber now and then. There's not a lot of choices, mind you, but like I said, I can put up with a lot for a clean place.The one thing to mention, which isn't a hotel thing: Despite the plethora of restaurants for such a small town, no one delivers, and any delivery services only deliver a few of the fast food places. Smitty's is within walking distance, but that was my only option, as I was sharing a vehicle with someone who stayed elsewhere, so I was left with no choice. Just fair warning for anyone who plans to stay in or have a few beers and not drive: get your food first or eat at Smitty's.

    Easy to find, clean and a welcome sight after a long day, but, unfortunately the next morning was somewhat disconcerting….individual looking after breakfast and reception did not appear very happy to be at work today, which is unfortunate for a place that should be welcoming and inviting. Also, at approximately 10:15 in the morning, with checkout still 45 minutes away, I’m coming out of the shower and the door opens!! When I said, heh, we’re still here, I was told that she thought our truck was gone!! When I went to check out, I asked to confirm, very respectfully, what time was checkout. When I was told 11:00, I asked why someone had come to the door and opened it at the time they did, to which the individual responded, that was me, and I thought you were gone, cause you said it was a gray truck and the only one out there was white!!! No apologies, and to be fair, the truck is indeed gray, a very light gray, but nonetheless, a simple check with the front desk (which she was manning) would have clarified we HAD NOT checked out!!! General Manager, General Manager at Days Inn by Wyndham Taber AB, responded to this review We apologize that you did not enjoy your stay While we strive to make all our guest's stay an enjoyable one, it is clear that we have missed the mark on this occasion. Your comments will be shared with our team and appropriate actions will be taken to mitigate similar instances from happening again in the future. and hope you will afford us another opportunity in the future to provide you with better experience.

    If being able to access things like netflix or playing online games is important to you, this is not the place for you to stay. Blocking access to these things for people who stay for work will drive away businessOtherwise its a basic Super 8 General Manager, General Manager at Days Inn by Wyndham Taber AB, responded to this review We are very sorry for confusing. There are our staff had misunderstanding. We did't block any online game & Netflex. No one had any issue to use our strong Wifi. Every alternative room has a router and there was not dead or grey Wifi zone.We trained that staff again to make sure the guest to enjoy strong Wifi.

    Excellent breakfast, very clean rooms and breakfast area. Quick and excellent service at check in and out. Very close to all restaurants and shopping.
