    Over night stay enroute to Vancouver

    Conveniently located just of hiway 16 .... Adjacent to full-service gas bar , Tims , and a few other conveient stors ... rooms are all kept up...typical free breakfast ... Staff are courteous .. I'll be booking a room for my return trip.... Also a new Casino next door with very good food .... I was lucky to hit fish fry Friday and a beer for $20

    The hotel is nicely located, with clean rooms upon arriving we asked to talk to a manager about some miss communication with the room we received, we were told there would be a manager on sight the next day but no one showed up. When checking out we had the pleasure of dealing with SONYA. Asked again if we could talked to a manger or if she could have one call me monday morning and she replied the only way to talk to a manger was through email and if I didn’t like that than to bad. I replied seriously. She said sir you are starting to harass me. The lady that was standing at the counter next to me looked at me with a shocked look on her face. The other costumer ensured me that I was harassing in any way with my simple request.

    Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Pool and hot tub were experiencing issues with temperature so next time I would check before we travel. We went with our kid's hockey team and didn't encounter very many other guests. Staff were great! Very accommodating of our group.

    POORLY TRAINED STAFF ON CHECK OUT POLICIES

    The staff gave me different information from check in to check out as to my payment options, even though it was made clear not to charge a cc, they did anyway. It took speaking to 4 employees to finally get this information correctly. In the mean time the owner had phoned other hotels informing them of my reluctance to pay, when the entire bill had been paid in full on the cc provided. General Manager, General Manager at Super 8 by Wyndham Lloydminster, responded to this review Hello, We require a credit card at check in, as per our policy, we do not accept debit cards or cash at check in. This is what you were advised multiple times. You should be aware that hotels require full authorization on a credit card at check in, not at check out. You provided us with a fraudulent credit card, a constable came to the hotel and advised us of this. When staff asked you for payment numerous times throughout the stay, there were only excuses and declined credit cards. Our staff was very professional and followed our policies which are the same for every guest. The entire bill was paid after the owner contacted you due to non payment for 3 plus days. Other hotels were advised of the fraudulent card being used by you and it would be up to the other hotels whether they would rent to you or not.     Preface location, nice and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot. Nice pool and hot tub. Water slide was not one when we stayed but we had the pool to ourselves. I will be returning next time I visit.
