Good accommodation option in London Ontario.

    rating16 Nov 2025

The hotel's location is good, in a commercial area, close to good restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, etc. It has two floors: the ground floor and the upper floor. There is no elevator. Our room had a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and TV. There was no microwave. The bathroom is good, with a shower stall, but no bathtub. It seems to have been renovated recently. The breakfast is good: cereals, bagels, omelets, burgers, sausages, yogurt, etc. Breakfast and parking are included in the daily rate. One negative point is that the doors make noise when closing. It's a good accommodation option in London, Ontario.

    Smell, Stains, and Distorted TV.

    rating01 Sept 2024

We stayed one night in queen room on the second floor. When we first arrived, we were told that we could only enter the building through the main door. You could exit the building from any door, but only enter through the main door. They actually removed all the handles from the side doors. We noticed a bad smell in the hallways and a slightly less of a smell in the room. The carpet had stains, and I am not sure if they ever clean the carpet. Bring slippers or wear your shoes in the room. Do not let your feet or socks touch the floor. The year is 2024 not 1980. We found most of the channels were distorted on the TV, and there was not much of a channel selection. The must be using an antenna instead of cable as there were a lot of channels with snow. Could not find Global. We did not expect this from a Choice Hotels Brand and we would not stay here again.

    Much better than we expected

    rating20 Jun 2024

My wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn in London. We were just passing through on our way to Michigan. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room - It was a first floor room with a sliding glass door to the outside. This arrangement is so wonderful because we could load our luggage in and out through the sliding glass door. There is a safety bar on the sliding door for safety at night. This is the best arrangement of a room for us. The room was a little dated, but kept up very nice. After reading some of the negative reviews we were pleasantly surprised and felt everything was much better than the impression the reviews gave.Breakfast - We were happy with the breakfast which included a wafflemaker, fruit, cereal, Danish, juice, and eggs. We always bring our own berries and whipped cream. Coffee also. There was no refrigerator in our room, but there was an ice machine. Our room price was $119 Canadian which came out to $87 US with the current exchange rate. So we felt like we got a good value and were favorably impressed with this Comfort Inn.The location is great. Very near White Oaks Mall, 10 minutes from downtown London, and only a two minute off Highway 401 for all those looking for easy access in and out of the city. There are also a large variety of restaurants and shops in and around the area, with many dining and takeout options available. The Bottom Line – This is a budget hotel, but has some pluses that many two star hotels would not have. It was certainly better than many of the reviews have stated. We saw no bugs anywhere. We would stay here in the future.

Bugs, lumpy pillows and no elevator for the hotel

    rating24 Mar 2024

Horrible experience. Bugs crawling all over the bathroom floor and paint peeling off the walls. When I called the front desk to report the bugs and request a wake up call, the phone cord didn't stay in the handset. The cord was also badly frayed. I could hear the front desk but they just kept hanging up. I spoke with the front desk in person about the phone and the bugs in the bathroom and they promised to address the issues but didn't do anything about it. I checked out a day early because of how disgusting it was. Comfort Inn is usually considered an affordable option but this place is definitely a zero. Clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly. All of our boxes ticked.

    rating21 Mar 2024

My wife and I along with our 11 year old twin girls recently spent a night at the Comfort Inn in London while visiting family and friends in London. That said, here was our takeaway:Lobby/first impression - Upon walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff, who welcomed us and had us sorted in no time. It’s a compact lobby, with the front desk located immediately to your left when you walk in, with a hallway to the rooms directly in front (past the desk). There is also a breakfast area located immediately to your left upon entering the hallway. With ample parking on both sides of the hotel, main level rooms have the added benefit of being able to park your car right in front of it. We had arrived just after 4pm, and as aforementioned, check-in was super efficient and speedy, and we were settled in our room in no time. Five stars all round. .Location – Prime location ideally located across from White Oaks Mall, 10 minutes from downtown London, and quite literally a two minute drive to Highway 401 for all those looking for easy access in and out of the city. There are also a large variety of restaurants and shops in and around the area, with many dining and takeout options available. If there’s any category that the Comfort Inn London dominates without question, it’s the hotel’s optimal location by far. Rooms – Expectantly no frills, but at a weekend rate of just over $100 for the night, it’s a steal of a deal when comparing it to its competitors in the area. The room is a little dated, but perfect for what we needed it for. This is a high value option for those that aren’t too picky, while looking for simple, comfortable accommodations. Of particular note, my wife and I found the Queen sized bed incredibly comfortable, having a full night’s rest. Other stuff: There was a complimentary breakfast that we unfortunately didn’t get to take advantage of, but a nice feature to have for those up early and in a rush. Value: Another category we felt the Comfort Inn London definitely attained high marks for. As previously stated, we managed to get a room at the Comfort Inn through a CAA/AAA discount (Saturday night), and felt it matched the quality we received in return, and much better priced than some of its direct competitors in the area. As far as ‘budget’ hotels go, we found this to be great value, given the astronomical rates some of the surrounding area hotels charge (trust me, we looked). To that end, we'd call the value we received a win. Dollar for dollar, it was definitely the best rate with respect to the quality/price ratio. To that end, we'd call the value we received a win.The Bottom Line – A comfortable, convenient, and overall pleasant stay with friendly, welcoming staff. The Comfort Inn London is definitely one of the more appealing choices while in the area for a quick visit, while not looking to break the bank doing so. In summation, I would recommend the Comfort Inn to anyone seeking a reputable, convenient and efficient hotel, with the expected quality/service the chain is known for. Four solid stars, well earned.
