    Good Stay at Quality Inn Matane

    This was my first stay at a Quality Inn in Canada, and I was pleasantly surprised. In the US, Quality Inns tend to be old, well-worn hotels that were probably very nice back in 1972. In Canada, both this and another Quality Inn where I recently stayed were nice, new, very clean hotels. We stayed here because we were taking the ferry the next morning. My room was large, very comfortably fitting a Queen Bed and sofa. The bed was firm, which I found very comfortable. There is an elevator for bringing your bags to the second floor. Both the evening and morning staff working at the front desk were friendly. The air conditioning was a little loud when it would first start, but it kept the room comfortable. My room faced the street but there was no problem with noise. I’m sure the rooms that face the rear are even quieter. Breakfast buffet was included and was good with a nice selection. I was also able to charge my car for free overnight. Overall I’d say this was a very nice hotel.

    Great service, great room for the price, great AC machine... and finally, great free breakfast included. Nothing bad to say about this place. It is well located as well and very peaceful at night.A great spot to stay if you plan on visiting the low Gaspésie area.

    What a great place to stay. The room was clean and quiet and the buffet breakfast was amazing. Breakfast choices included: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, home fries, waffles, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cold/hot cereal, heated muffins (tres bon), and coffee, tea, juice and more. The outdoor pool was heated and had glass panels to see out and tiki type umbrellas to add to the atmosphere. There was also a life guard on duty which was surprising. We stayed two nights and housekeeping was provided on the second day also. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not far from the village of Matane and is located right on the main highway. Thanks for a great stay.

    This was the best hotel that we had during our Gaspé Peninsula trip. So thankful. We had a ground floor room updated and a comfy bed, big bathroom and everything was clean. My husband enjoyed the included breakfast, there wasn’t many options if you have diet restrictions(easily ate food I brought). Friendly staff and great hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.

    Two rooms knocked into one

    I have commented previously about the size of the accessible room. it is really two normal rooms knocked into one. The is no extra furniture. The bed is on one wall and the rest miles away on the other.Breakfast at this hotel is exceptional. On this trip, we are staying at 14 hotels. I can guarantee now that this will be the best.
