    Fire Refund?

    I've stayed here in the past and figured it was a safe bet to take a break from a long road trip and get a good night sleep. I pulled in at 12:30am and unfortunately all they had was the King Suite available (questionable, but regardless...) for $300/night, I booked it and hit the pillow at 12:50am. Within 30 min I was woken up to a fire alarm and screaming in the halls of the hotel. Quickly evacuated out and then spent the next 3.5 hours in my vehicle blocked in by the fire dept. I was finally able to get out at around 04:00 and with no other options, decided to continue on my trip.... I've let the dust settle for a number of weeks now, calling the posted number to try and get some sort of response from the owners with respect to that evening. Granted a tough situation for them, but I also don't know the specifics of the fire. Regardless, some sort of refund or credit would be appreciated. It seems however that the owners have completely faded into the darkness and this situation has been forgotten.Poor form. Hopefully they read this and figure out there might be a better way to deal with their customers.

    Excellent hotel! Crazy-good service, incredible beds, lots of plant based breakfast options…CLEAN! Also, the rooms are SILENT! We heard no sounds at all even though there were 2 hockey teams here!!! Mikey at the breakfast bar was excellent! The hostess last night was SO efficient and helpful! We will be back!The gym was also super clean and had enough to get it done!

    Good overall hotel. Check in was good, the room clean, very nice view. On the downside, breakfast could be improved with better sausages and more cereal variety. The air conditioner/heater works well enough but it is a bit noisy and it blows air right on the bed. This could be fixed by moving the bed and night tables over to the opposite wall and moving the other furniture to the wall where the bed was. In that way the air would blow past the foot of the bed and not bother anyone.

    The staff at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Merritt truly made our stay amazing. Their warmth, charm, and consummate hospitality was evident right from the get go. Our room was clean, fully stocked, and the bedding really made the stay especially as someone who has trouble sleeping. Any request we made was promptly answered, and, at one point, the GM himself followed up to ensure that we had everything we needed. This wasn't our first time staying here and certainly won't be our last. The level of service we receive has always been consistent and that's what keeps us coming back. We felt as if we were staying with family. Bravo to their team for their hard work and warmth!

    Clean and Comfortable / Great for a stop-over

    Stayed at this property for one night on the way to Jasper. Check-in was quick and efficient and there was ample parking in front of the hotel. The room was very large, it had a sitting area, fridge, microwave and nice bathroom with large tub. The room was very clean. The free breakfast was the usual continental items, the breakfast room as very large and clean. All interactions with staff were positive.
