    My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Auberge Royal Versailles. When we checked in Kat, at the front desk, was very helpful, providing us with the map of downtown Montreal and marking the places we wanted to visit and how to access them. Using the metro subway station across the street was so easy. We were able to arrive in the center of Old Montreal in 30 minutes, leaving our car in the hotel lot for free. No need to struggle with downtown parking! And we used a charging station for our EV close by. The free breakfast was great. We ordered from a menu with several options, unlike most of the hotel breakfasts in the U.S. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay there again when we return to Montreal.

    We had 2 adjoining rooms; one for my wife and I and one for my son and his 2 young daughters. I booked directly with the hotel for a better rate and the complimentary breakfast.Pros: The hotel common areas and our rooms were clean. TV was good. Fridge kept drinks cold (no freezer). Good Keurig coffee maker.Lots of free parking.The swimming pool was clean and there was a lifeguard present. Towels were available from the lifeguard.Staff spoke both English and French.Hot breakfast for 2 people per room consisting of coffee, 2 eggs, toast, fruit and choice of bacon, ham or sausages. Also had french toast with blueberries and a meal with yogurt, cereal, toast, and fruit. Better than a continental breakfast.Great location next to Radisson metro station and Place Versailles shopping center.At the park and ride station down the street (next to the SAQ), there were level 2 chargers for EV's and rate was $3.00 for the day.The double beds and pillows were comfortable.Shower was good but was only a hand held.Cons:Free breakfast for two persons per room. They should provide breakfast for all room occupants especially for those with young children. Had to pay for the 3rd person.Only provided room towels, water cups, coffee cups, Keurig pods for 2 people per room but they will bring more if requested.Only the air conditioner fan was working in my room. Note that the technicians are available only to 3 pm. Since we checked in after 3 pm we had to wait until the next day for the air conditioner to be fixed. No fan in the bathroom and the bathroom door always closes. A door stopper would be nice to have.Sherbrooke St is busy at times.     Hmmm. Pictures made it look nice but as soon as we drove up I was disappointed in the ambiance. I guess that’s why we got a good rate. Nothing seriously wrong- just a little less than we’d expected. Door from parking lot was out of service so we had to use the front door. 20+ minutes to the botanical gardens (their ad says 5). 45 minutes to the airport (their ad says 30.     Do not go here spend that little bit more money just to go to a better hotel

    One out of five there were ants in my room this place is more like a motel the shower sucked. There were people walking around. We had to switch our rooms because of the Aunt and there’s so much more that just makes this so bad so just please spend a bit more money.     Went for a company party so book by the company for their employees. Close to the shopping center and the métro station. Cab calling phone in the lobby convenient. Room very basic,bathroom small but shower updated. Bed clean . Found chips leftover in the couch.The room cold. Heating not working properly .Room at 18c max in a minus 20c in winter ,draft at the window had to put a blanket to cover it up.Told the staff ask for change room, they told us all the rooms the same. Told us get somebody to chek. Nobody came. Please avoid this place at all cost.
